I studies them both for my A level English ( about 100 years ago!) I think they are brilliant books and yes I found 1984 more disturbing. great books though ()^

I am reading Recursion by Tony Ballantyne. It really sucks. I mean really. Think of Michelle, Stu and a table, cross it with a Dyson and you still wouldn't be reaching the sheer level of suckiness.

I forget which book it was, but there's a scene with the wizards in a circle trying to conjure up Death and he appears outside it and asks what they are trying to do. It creases me up just remembering reading that.

Yeah, I think it's the same. Very funny stuff. I've even got my old man reading them all now.
Corperal Nobbs is another favourite character of mine. He's the only man who carries a note around with him to explain to people he's actually human, lol
