i think some stuff, like her dialogue with her rapist, seemed made up. like him asking her to suck his ****, and her saying "but i dont know how, i'm a virgin!" the conversation almost looked friendly. As if she'd be composed enough to explain herself to him!

no offence to Ms Sebold. I feel like such a heel for saying stuff like that about her book, lol even though it 's true!

Maybe that's how she remembers it because it's easier that way. I dunno. But she never mentions if she got pregnant from it even though the rapist says she will. That left me a bit :-?

I read the Lovely Bones last night and was really disappointed. I thought it was a brilliant concept but the book just didn't make the most of it or live up to it. I wanted them to solve the crime but the police seemed totally vague and I was disappointed that the murderer was never actually accused of the crime or that the hole was discovered.

I thought the part where she comes back to earth in Ruth's body so that she can have sex with Ray was really bizarre and made me cringe. It ruined the idea that in Heaven she was no longer part of life on earth.

This book could have been SO much better but just failed to achieve that - in my opinion.

well I started reading this ages ago and got about half way through and I honestly couldn't bring myself to read anymore. Like you said milly, I really liked the idea but the book itself I found dragged and dragged.

I very rarely give up on a book but I really didn't find it interesting at all

I read this book and I loved it. I just read somewhere that they are going to film it now, I just hope they do it justice.
