Aww.. A Big Brother -fan site wedding! How cute. Allthough, I'm sorry to say, it does seem the groom has more then one spoon in the soup ::lol:: We should have these "bring your own toilet seat" -parties here in finland! You guys should see the toilet seats in finnish restaurants (or any house that has had a party..) in the morning :puke: Like someone so accurately put it earlier, it must be the vodka (or Koskenkorva, another very popular bright finnish booze).

Well,this may be little bit out of the subject....or maybe not. ${
I think it was funny when Steph,Cameron and Lisa talked about Orkney.
Lisa asked which country Orkney was near by the most ( or something like that ). So Steph suggested that Orkney is near by Finland. :clap:

That was so funny! I guess Steph doesn´t know much about geography. ::lol:: Oh,poor Steph! ;)

Many people don't even know Finland is in Europe, at least Steph had an idea which direction it is :D

Oh,don´t get me wrong Cameron! I was just so proud that she said Finland. Many people don´t even know here is country called Finland on Earth. ::lol::

It´s just so funny if you think about it. If Orkney was near to Finland it must be between Finland and Sweden. Only island between Finland and Sweden is Åland Islands. Maybe Steph didn´t just know whitch country Finland was...maybe she thought it was in Norways place. If you know what I mean.

You're right! Have you ever seen a map where Finland is part of Sweden (I mean that Finland's name is Sweden). I don't remember where I saw it (but I have feeling that it was on BBC website) but it was funny to see that people around the world doesn't know that Finland is in Europe (and it's between Sweden and Russia). :-? Well, good that people know that Finland exists. For example some Americans doesn't even know that Finland is a country :evil: (don't ask what I'm talking about, I have no idea)

This is a bit off topic but...

I was watching Friday a movie about Steve Prefontain (famous american runner in the 70´s) (don´t ask me why I watching it...) and apparently he came to Finland to compete with Lasse Viren. The funny part was that in that movie Viren and the other finns were speaking russia. I suppose they didn' t have any finnish speaking actors there... ::lol::

I heard about that movie too but I was watching the Olympic games so I forgot it. Good that Finland (well, Lasse Viren) was mentioned in that movie but I hope that those, who saw that movie an America, didn't think that we are Russian or something ${

I think they were acting as if they were speaking finnish, so no problem there. I just tought it was funny because russian ja finnish do not sound alike, at least not in my ear.

In american movies people always speak russian or german, sometimes even swedish when they're supposed to be speaking finnish. I don't think I've ever seen a genuine finnish speaking actor in any american movies except for the ones that were directed by a finnish director. But then a movie isn't american now is it? I just can't imagine it's that hard to find a person speaking finnish who would provide some assistanse! And finally, why even bring Finland or any country in to the story if you don't have the will to do it right :8o: ??

I seem to feel a wee bit patriotic this afternoon :-?
