I like British humour. "The Royle Family" was shown here in Finland a few years ago, it was absolutely hilarious!!! ::lol:: It was just like my own family (almost, anyway)!! My dad and brother are crazy about "The Fast Show" and my mom likes "Keeping Up Appearances".

In September one of our TV channels will be showing only British comedy shows on Friday evenings! Looking forward to that! :D

If we're talking not-British, then I like "Friends". I think Phoebe is my secret soulmate. ::lol::

Can't believe I forgot The Royle Family.

One of my faves.

ohhh Blackadder!! I loved it!

I'm going to Hartlepool to buy some exploding trousers

::lol::

I remember saying that once in a History lesson and the teacher didn't have a clue what I was on about - which made it even funnier ::lol::

The war started because some man called Archie Duke shot an ostrich because he was hungry.
::lol::

I've got all four series on tape and love them to bits.

I have got most of them on tape! They are very very funny.

I have used the end of Blackadder Goes Forth, where they go over the top, in a lesson on War poetry ()^

It always gets a reaction.

Yeah the ending was surprisingly moving for a comedy show!

That ending just brings a tear to my eye. They had the right balance of comedy and pathos in that one to make it work.

Do the Finnish get Blackadder, I've always thought it was very British humour?

Yes pobbop, we´ve seen BlackAdder, few years ago. It was brilliant!!
