The baby is due in March
Victoria Beckham has announced that she is pregnant with her third child.
The pop singer and her husband David Beckham said they were "delighted" with the news.
The couple released a joint statement giving the news that the baby is expected in March, bringing an end to the speculation about whether a baby was on the way.
They said: "This is fantastic news. We are both absolutely delighted. We are planning to have the baby in Spain."
The statement reads: "Victoria and David Beckham are delighted to announce that they are expecting their third child. The Beckham's hope to have the baby in early March 2005."
The couple celebrated the birth of their first son Brooklyn - named after the place where he was conceived - now five, in March 1999.
In September 2002, she gave birth to their second son Romeo at the private Portland Hospital in London.
There have been fears that former Posh Spice has lost weight during a period in which great strain has been placed on her marriage.
Speculation has suggested 30-year-old Victoria believes another baby will help their relationship which was rocked after Rebecca Loos, 26, alleged she had an affair with the England football captain when he joined the Spanish club Real Madrid.
With the baby due in March, the Beckhams probably began trying for another child just after England's exit from football's Euro 2004 tournament.
