Why can't our BB be in the autumn?

1) The hm's wouldn't be sunbathing all day and...
1) We can spend the summer in the garden and not watching...surely the viewing figures would be higher too?

It would make a change.
It's worth bearing in mind that this is the 2nd Italian BB this year. GF4 finished a few weeks before our series started.

Think they think that the summer is better as there is not football and maybe that would affect figures. But saying that the Italians are now watching our football as well their own and they must be getting high enough figures else they wouldn't run it.

I have noticed that the mediterainen countries tend to run the shows in the Autum / Winter the exception normally being Italy in the Spring.
so maybe it's weather related ?
