Looking back at this thread I started in January asking for recomendations, I have now read about 34 books...which is more than I had read in the last ten year!

Two that I really enjoyed are ...

The Notebook - Nicholas Sparks Review
and most recently
Hunting Unicorns - Bella Pollen Review

I've read Hunting Unicorns. Had me laughing out loud a couple of times (the midnight trip to the loo especially), but I thought it was a bit predictable, a kind of modern day Pride and Prejudice (I suppose most love stories are). And if they make it into a film, I bet Hugh Grant gets the lead role!

I laughed in quite a few places and it was a book meant for a film script.

I don't know Hugh Grant as Rory...maybe Jude Law...

Oh I think they do Lyns but nearly al are already married unfortunately

Does anyone like Laurie Lee? we're going to be doing 'as I walked out one midsummer morning' in English, I've just read the first 3 chapters so far and I think it seems pretty good.

CC did you read 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time'? I read that in the summer and I think it is a wonderful book - I've read it about 4 times since and I'm doing it for my english personal study :D

there's a thread about it down there somewhere.

It reminds me I was going to look up the author on the internet. I shall do it now, the book is just so good.
