I can't imagine not wanting to change my name. I hate those bloodu blah blah Maiden name - blah blah hubby's name names as well. It's just being damn annoying and trying to validate your life or something like you need to prove you had this whole other existance before you got married.

I actually changed my name before I got married. We decided that we didn't want to be married will I was pregnant but I wanted to have the same name as my child...there was no way he was going to let me use my maiden name without a big argument so it seem easier all round for me to change to his. It is so easy to do.

Of course then when we did get married I didn't have all the hassle of changing all my details at the bank etc

We know so many David's we'd just call him David Pinkerton but we'd say it really fast so it would be "DavidPnkatn"

I'll change my name if anyone marries me I think, but it needs to have certain letters so the special thing with my initials still works
