Rush of money on X Factor's Steve

Bookies have seen a rush of money on X Factor contestant Steve Brookstein.

William Hill have cut the odds on him winning from 7/1 to 11/2.

"Although Steve's desire to win has been questioned our customers obviously think differently, causing us to cut his odds", said Hill's spokesman Rupert Adams.

Rowetta Satchell is still favourite to win the show with odds of 3/1, with Tabby in second place on 4/1 and G4 in third place with 9/2.

Simon Cowell is now the bookies' favourite to win the battle of the managers with odds of 5/4.

Sharon Osbourne is in second place with 15/8 and Louis Walsh in third with 2/1.

I just watched the first live show, and thought some of the acts were really good :D

Roberta or Verity to go IMO.

Well you got your wish pizzicato.... Roberta is out. I honestly don't think she was the worst and I can't believe that Voices with Soul were in the bottom two!!??

G4 were amazing! Verity and that duo (so mundane I can't even remember their name) should have been in the bottom two imo.

I think G4 sang well but it's not my cup of tea and I would buy it ..or even illegally download it if I ever did things like that.

I think you mean Ainsley....

Louis Walsh is a right eejit...he was so mean about Verity...if he'd have just said she was pleasant or something, Roberta might still be in ...but Louis had to say there weren't many HOUSEWIVES in the charts...

I'm glad Verity gets to stay another week, though I thought she sounded a bit weak. I hope herself and Simon go on to have a lasting meaningful relationship, because I think she's got to him more than he ever intended.

i went off louis in an earlier episode , the one where he did a runner from that irish lady who he knew from years ago
what a knob, would it have killed him to be honest with her?
