B***er, f***, b****cks, c***, s**t, ar*e.
What a dire result. I don't even know what league Street play in, I think it's the Screwfix league, but what a terrible result for City. And on Tuesday night we meet local rivals Ch***en*m Town in the Glos Senior Cup and based on today's performance we're gonna lose with a Gloucester RFC score. :-?

Oh well, at least we can concentrate on the League ::lol::

Not bad, 2-0 after Extra-time. They fielded a couple of first-teamers as well as other full-timers so I think we did well to only lose by 2 goals considering our form and both of those scored in Extra Time. Either that, or CTFC really are s**t! ::lol::

Encouraging for Solihull's visit on Saturday (and they get mightily peeved if you call them Brummies!).

I didn't think today's performance was that bad, although bearing in mind Solihull were bottom of the League this morning. I thought we dominated the rest of the game and Coxy and Smith were good again, didn't think Webby or Baylo were that bad, heaven knows why Marvin Thompson was substituted. Perhaps the players were sick of looking at his new mohican!

I missed their goal in the first couple of minutes as I was still getting my burger. City had all the play after that - I thought referee had a poor first half. Muzzie needs to go one of those anger management courses too. Why can't players just let things go. it ain't worth getting heated up when the ref has final say. You lose out in the long run with bookings and suspensions.

The only thing we didn't seem to do was have many strong shots on target and I think their keeper only had to make a couple of saves. Admittedly the ball was often lifted into the air but we seemed to win more than we normally do (but again, bear in mind our opposition). But we kept winning the ball and controlling it, just let down by poor finishing. And we hit the post. That summed it up.

It was an encouraging performance I thought, I think we were very unlucky to come away with nothing. :-?

This now leaves us 4th from bottom within the drop zone. But we have a good side with some talented players so i'll be very surprised if that's where we still are come the end of season. Elsewhere Chippenham were thrashed 5-0 at home by Histon, and Halesowen moved to the top with a with a win at King's Lynn. Still a long, long way to go.

A goal-less draw in City's first League game for a fortnight against fellow-strugglers. Our player-manager got sent off after 23 seconds - must be a record :-?.

We're still 4th from bottom
Halesowen still top the table after an entertaining 4-4 draw with Dunstable a game which saw the lead change 3 times, only for the Yeltz to equalise in injury time. Chippenham, Merthy and Chesham also won this weekend and they remain 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Team Bath continue to prop up the rest. Elsewhere in football tastyfish returned from injury to score 7 and hit the post twice as well as assisting in at least 3 other goals in a five-a-side friendly... ;)

Blimey, about time I updated this thing. And just when you all thought it was going to disappear into oblivion.. ::lol::

Last Saturday, City managed to scrape themselves off the bottom of the League with a 1-0 win in front of a massive crowd of 95 at Dunstable Town. Someone on this forum said they'd buy me a pint at Dunstable Town too, sorry that I stood you up! ::lol::

We're now 5th from bottom, yeah! And we've just let Andy Hoskins, our top striker from last season go to glamour club Cinderford Town.

Excellent result against a strong side who were 5 points above us in the league, and strengthens our position further away from the drop zone. Good result following the departure of Hoskins, our top striker from last season (and the season before that, and the season before...). Don't know much about the game as I was at my niece's birthday party but fan-effin-tastic. About bl00dy time. Bring on Tivvy Town on Tuesday.

Great result for Dunstable Town too - 5-1 away at local rivals Hitchin Town. They'll be celebrating in The Sugar Loaf tonight... ;)

I've been celebrating tonight - I just wanted to tell the whole world I scored TWELVE goals in my match last night! Would've been 13 but one cannoned off the bar after a massive run down the length of the pitch ;o( . Will be available on DVD just in time for Christmas! Am a bit worse for wear and have work in the morning too.. :-?

In all my excitement I forgot to add that City drew 1-1 with Tiverton Town on Tuesday night. I know there's a link to this thread from the 'official' GCFC supporters forum so hopefully someone might note my exploits from the other night and give me a job as a striker! ::lol::

OK, I am determined to get through the whole season even if the club doesn't! Effin L, losing at home to a team bottom of the league is, well, embarrassing! I'm not even going to go into detail... :-? . At least we didn't get thrashed 6-2 at home like Dunstable!

Several players are being released this week, having been banged up for crimes against football. If it's entertainment you want I suggest coming down to the domes to watch Team YB in action. Not sure I can quite match last week's exploits but the totty in netball gear is worth the effort ::lol::.
