Like every rock and roll band, they are a cocktail/hybrid of other bands and influences.
Having seen Kasabian,at close quarters,at the intimate London Astoria, 2 weeks ago, it was obvious , that both Oasis and The Stone Roses are major influences.
Mind you- there were also riffs and knowing lines, from such diverse artists as Howlin' Wolf and Kraftwerk- that's pretty eclectic... and the heaving masses loved every bit of it.
