Noooo, I'm not blaming anything on her, I was just saying that I didn't fall for the massive public support she had, following her lying and cheating, the point I was trying to make was if it had been a normal women in the street, she would have been burnt at the stake, and I was trying to find out just what the obsession was with Diana.

Seriously though...alot of people who do like and support Diana do have high moral standards (I'm not saying all) and from what I read and hear people say, plenty of those who slag her off don't!!
I reckon the latter are judging people by their own standards

The culture of the royal family has always been that you can have affairs as long as you don't get found out. She was found out because in the most public royal divorce ever all the dirty washing was aired on both sides.

I don't judge her at all.. I had a lot of sympathy for her. None at all for the rest of them.

And I don't think she was sly.. I think she learned to stick up for herself against a pretty massive public institution that wanted to discredit her and good for her!!!

Sorry Irizar, I just don't agree with what you think of her, but that is OK! We can't all agree on everything can we?

If we did all agree, it would be a boring world, but what I can't understand is why you had sympathy with her, and none at all for the rest of them, surely an illicit affair is a...well illicit affair, the only difference I can see is that she activley went out to pursue other men, surely that makes it inexcusable, if an affair 'just' happens, then I could understand it more.

Well I reckon she was looking for love, albeit in the wrong places or perhaps she just fancied a good bit of hanky panky. Like I said before, she's only human. I was never a Diana fanatic but I don't go for all this Diana bashing either, especially now shes not even alive.

I agree with HD.. I think she often picked bad 'uns.. but who can say their judgement in men is perfect? :-?

Whatever she was after, I am not going to castigate her for trying to have a bit of happiness...

I don't think she was a saint either by the way.. I just don't think she was a demon. I agree with HD also in that she was just human.. and maybe that was part of her charm. :angel:

Not saying people with high morals aggree with her, but it doesn't mean they condone her either.

But the whole point is, what was she doing picking any one, good or bad, she was married to the future King of England for cripes sake, we have already established she was not a commoner, so her standards should have reflected her position, I'm not saying for one minute she should have suffered a life of misery, she should have ended the marriage in the correct manner, having said that, her life wasn't that miserable, where was she the night she died ? she certainly wasn't at home being miserable :eek:
