STEVE Brookstein was BOOED OFF at his first gig since winning X Factor.

Revellers yelled abuse less than 24 hours after Saturday’s final.

The Radio 1 and Top Of The Pops Christmas Party crowd had to be persuaded to cheer the crooner, 36, back on stage — after booing him off three times. DJ Scott Mills begged the London audience of 2,000 to give him another chance.

One guest said: “They started booing again as soon as Steve started singing. Then he forgot the words. He apologised but was extremely shaken and looked to be holding back tears. It made him look a novice, especially alongside the likes of Kylie Minogue, who also sang.”

Steve — pictured during the gig — told The Sun: “I don’t think I appeal to a lot of younger people. There was a lot of noise and the booing just threw me. Hopefully I’ll get through it.”

Despite not being a fan of Steve's, and honestly not sure who voted for him, I feel quite sorry for him.

Did anyone see Steve on GMTV this morning?
They brought up this topic.
Yes, Steve got some boos but also some cheers from some
members of the crowd.
The ones that booed were mainly G4 and Rowetta fans.

The competition this year for X Factor was more extreme, so the public would be voting for their favourite a number of times.
G4 fans would oviously be dissapointed that they didn't win
so they would take a huge dislike to Steve,
Not just G4 remember but basically anyone who wasn't a fan of Steve.

I don't think the competition this year was as extreme as Pop Idol 2003.

Am oviously a Steve fan and am happy G4 got as far as they did, I have nothing against G4 or ANY of the X Factor acts.
I think G4 and Tabby got record deals so good luck to them ;)

and...

GOOD LUCK TO STEVE!!! ;)

I agree with the post above I am a Steve fan but also a fan of G4 and some of the other acts and would never dream of booing for the ones I didnt like
