TROUBLED singer KERRY KATONA is being comforted by a knight in shining armour - FRAN COSGRAVE, we can reveal.

And the I'm A Celebrity hunk wants to whisk Kerry, 24 - suffering depression over her marriage split from BRIAN McFADDEN - away for Christmas.

He wants her join him, his parents and two brothers for a week's break on the Costa del Sol when she checks out of celeb clinic The Priory.

He has even booked a flight for ex-Jungle Queen Kerry later this week.

We can also reveal that caring Fran has visited Kerry EVERY DAY since she checked herself into The Priory in South West London 10 days ago.

The Irish charmer has taken her out for dinner and the cinema - and even helped her do some Christmas shopping.

Club owner Fran, 26, said: "She's doing OK but it's like any marriage break-up - it's hard but when it's in the public eye, the difficulties are tenfold. I've been through it so I know how tough it is. But she's doing fine."

He added: "Kerry is like a little sister to me. I'd go to the ends of the earth for her."

The pair have known each other for five years. They first met when Fran was head of security for Brian's old band Westlife and Kerry was a singer in Atomic Kitten.

Fran also had a relationship with Kerry's pal and former bandmate NATASHA HAMILTON, who is mum to his son Josh.

Kerry - who won the previous series of I'm A Celebrity while Fran came third in the last one - is grateful for his support. A friend of Kerry's family said: "Fran has been there for her every day during her time at The Priory.

"They were already good mates but Kerry has been overwhelmed by how supportive he's been.

"He's such a positive force and just wants to be there for her. He feels a holiday will give her a break." It's not known where Kerry's two children with Brian - Molly, three, and 10-month-old Lilly Sue - will spend Christmas.

Brian had been planned to go on holiday but has cancelled the break.

Since I'm A Celebrity, Fran has been inundated with offers from women wanting to get close to him. He said: "They had this impression I was a b*****d.

"But they said after seeing me in the jungle they realise I'm not a bad guy after all."

Yesterday a spokesman for Kerry said: "She is up and down and will make a final decision about where to spend Christmas next week."
