Ok....I think John is horrible.

But I'm reading everywhere I look about nose picking and how it's vile etc...yes, eating your bogeys is nasty and vile, but sometimes you have to pick your nose. Sometimes those darn little boogs just won't blow out.
So what else is the choice? I have to pick mine sometimes. I don't do it on tv or eat the snot
So why is that so vile? Surely it would be more vile to leave them in my nose?? Come on...someone else stand up with me and be counted. You're all making me feel disgusting and abnormal.

its not the picking its the eating that turns my stomach.

Kids in certain age does it all the time and they don't care where and when. Their parents tell them not to do so all the time - but an adult on TV that's provocating!

A good old nose picking session is needed every so often just to keep from sounding like Janet Street-Portor you understand

Disgusting as it may be - the eating part apparently has some validity - something about building your immune system - like eating garden dirt does when you were a kid- if we are too sterile and this causes allergies apparently - ergo nose picking/eating

I'm sure that's what he tells everyone but it doesn't make any sense. Isn't the whole point of nasal hairs and mucous to trap germs and stop them from entering the membranes? And anyway the stomach acids would destroy them wouldn't they?
I would never eat my bogies, living in London they contain more carbon particles than a coal mine!
