My opinions:-

- Surprise at no nominations for Razorlight, especially in the rock act or album categories.
- Wasn’t Absolution released 2003 or early 2004 thus missing eligibility dates re. Album category?
- Only 1 nomination for The Zutons, surprising
- Snow Patrol hardly class as ‘Rock’
- Joss Stone is not ‘Urban’
- No nominations for Busted is surprising given their popularity by many
- Shortlist for Best British Song of last 25 years is dire given the original list people had to choose from.
- Best Single category – where is ‘Gravity’ by Embrace, ‘Take Me Out’ by Franz Ferdinand, ‘Run’ by Snow Patrol, ‘Superstar’ by Jamelia, ‘Can’t Stand Me Now’ by Libertines, ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ by Keane, ‘Thunderbirds are Go’ by Busted to name but a few that should of got nominated for me.
- All 3 categories that Keane are nominated in are really tough ones.
- Surprised at no International nominations for Kings of Leon or REM.

So for me the winners will be:-

Franz Ferdinand – 2 (Best British Group and Best Live Act)
Keane – Definitely 1 (Best British Album) but hopefully 2 with (British Breakthrough Act although The Zutons may get this one)
Scissor Sisters – 2 (International Album & International Group)
Muse – 1 – British Rock Act
Lemar – 1- British Male Solo Artist
Jamelia – Definitely 1- British Female Solo Artist (but I hope 2 – for Best Single aswell forThank You)
The Streets – British Urban Act
Natasha Bedingfield – Best Pop Act
The Killers – International Breakthrough Act
Enimem – International Male Solo Artist
Anastascia – International Female Solo Artists
Robbie Williams – Best British Song Award
Band Aid 20 – Best Single

So going home empty handed (despite multiple nominations) will be:-

Kasabian (peaked too early for this years awards sadly)
Snow Patrol (all their categories too tough for them to stand a chance unfortunately, real shame)
The Libertines
Joss Stone (too much female competition)
Jamie Cullum
Kanye West
Will Young
Maroon 5
Outkast
U2

With you on Keane, Muse, FF and the killers all great bands...looks like being FF's night tho. Snow patrol may get something but it seems unlikely.

Best British album is going to be hard to choose because I have every one of those albums and they are all so good. :-?

I hope Jamie Cullum, Joss Stone, Keane and Franz Ferdinand all do well this year imo. :D

I would love to see Keane get that award but I reckon Franz Ferdinand or Muse will get it.
