That's right the new start date is Jan 30th.
Coverage is hosted by Canal Digital. Digital TV is SeKr249 = $36.41
but no price is known yet for the web feeds but they will be available as soon as the contestants enter.

Info from canaldigital.se

The tv feed will almost certainly appear on the satellite at 1W using Conax encryption which is where the rest of the package is.
Now I wonder if Canal Digital would allow a subscription in the UK ? I have the Conditional Access Module.

Well here's the offical details as shown on one of the channels that'll be broadcasting 24/7 with the live feeds.

Must investigate a legit subscription to follow the series. I've done it before with the internet coverage but not sure if Canaldigital would allow a satellite subscription outside of their offical coverage area.

Links to information of the series

http://www.aftonbladet.se/vss/noje/stor ... 61,00.html

http://www.vg.no/pub/vgart.hbs?artid=264566

Both contain pictures.

There are 4 live feeds going by the testcards that were visible the other day on the satellites at 1 West but due to recent changes it looks like I might have to find another method of following the series ,so another subscription to the web feeds if they exist will be needed. Shame the satellite coverage is excellent but I can't see Canal Digital agreeing to a subscription in the UK. Just means no pictures of the start with the 18 contestants entering the house.

I feel this is a stupid question... but what language will they be speaking in the house?!
Is there some kind of universal Scandanavian language, or will they speak Norweigen, Swedish, or both? Or even English?!

Maybe you can humour me with an answer when it gets going Larry!

I've seen a few discussions regarding the language barrier. Some think English maybe the option taken.
I suppose in small groups they would speak their own language but otherwise as I doubt there are enough similarities between then two then a third language will be needed and that comes back to English.

As soon as I hear or read more on this I'll update the thread.

Subscriptions are available now from http://www.bigbrother.no
Costs are £20.84 for the whole series which if I remember correctly is 115 days.
On the homepage click on live video .Then goto the menu bit near the top that says the word 'kode' .In the next section select the option you want and select your payment method.
Once accepted you'll be given a code which you'll need before you can watch the streams which which you should be asked for when you go to the video screen.

There are 6 web feeds ,3 Norwegen and 3 Swedish. 1 in each are directors cuts and the other two in each are different parts of the house.

Have fun.

And make sure you enter your email address at point 1 before you pay else you'll have problems loging in.

Now I'm hoping somebody in their support team can enter my email address into the system now that I have a code to watch it. I've sent them a reuest in English and what a imagine is a bad on-line translation into Norwegian.

I got reply back but it appears to be in Swedish. Homepage is Norwegian ,help is Swedish.

Can anybody translate for me ? The on-line translations are not very good. I think the gist is to contact the Norwegian Payex support.

I have pictures :)

Ok this is what happens when you don't speak the language !

1. Click on the camera you want to view.
2. Click on the feed quality you want.
3. In the pop-up window underneither where you enter you email address and password are two more options. The first one is for you to create your viewing account. Look for the link that says something like 'Klick hier'.
The second one I guess is to recover you password.
4. Enter your email address and a password you want to use and repeat the password again and press enter.
5 On the next screen enter your Big Brother code.
You now have a viewing account and will be asked if you want to view now.

All you need to remember now is your password when you log in.

Well as the saying goes it keeps me out of trouble.

Got some links pictures and the links for the cameras. But remember you still needs to subscribe before the camera links will work.

House to divided so the Swedish is one side and the Norwegians the other.
So far the Swedish contestants look more interesting.

Oh ,and in answer to a previous question they are mostly speaking their native language though I've heard more English on the Swedish side. But even then it's only the odd sentence.

Why is it that a 440K Windows Media Stream is poorer than a 225K Realplayer Stream ?
The sound sounds like the sampling rate is too low and full screen the picture is not as clear as the CBB3 225K realplayer Stream.

Must remember my flags better ,the interesting side are the Norwegians and the ones speaking more English.

Camera links from the homepage http://www.bigbrother.no appear to be having problems but using the links above work fine.

As the Swedish and Norwegian contestants mix the common ground language wise is English which certainly most of the Norwegians seem to speak.
At present 3 contestants from each country are up for eviction. And one from each country has swapped houses so you have one Norwegian in the Swedish half and one Swede in the Norwegian half.
I think they had a task earlier to teach the new guest the equivilent words in the other's language.

There should be a double eviction at the end.

They also have an intercom between the two halves plus there is a small window with an internal shutter which is between the paines of glass that lifts up from time to time allowing them to see the other side.

I can't speak a single word of either language so it's interesting when they do have their short conversions in English. last year these conversations were sub-titled on the highlights program on Kanal 5.

I know there are four satellite channels carrying the live feeds but they are encrypted and can only be accessed with a subscription with Kanal Digital but I don't know if a subscription with the Swedish one gives access to the Norwegian channels and viceversa.
