TV presenter Jeff Brazier was today crowned Top Farmer in channel Five’s reality show The Farm.

The former boyfriend of Big Brother star Jade Goody saw off US rapper Vanilla Ice in the final.

Rebecca Loos, who allegedly had an affair with England football captain David Beckham, finished in third place.

Jeff gave a giant grin as he heard the news, while Vanilla accepted defeat gracefully as he bowed to the crowds and scooped up Jeff for a bear hug.

“I’m really pleased. It’s nice to have acknowledgement for the effort I’ve put in,” Jeff said.

“I’ve learned that I can push myself a lot further. I’ve met some amazing people and done some amazing things.”

Three weeks ago nine celebrities entered the contest to discover the best farmhand, including Debbie McGhee, wife of magician Paul Daniels, ex-footballer Stan Colleymore and loudmouth TV and radio presenter Terry Christian.

Collymore to complain to PCC over Sun's faked confession

Stan Collymore is to make a formal complaint to the Press Complaints Commission after the Sun published a faked confession suggesting the star admitted he was a "lying scumbag".
"I lied," is the headline on the front page of today's Sun, which claimed it had "Stan Collymore's sensational signed confession to the Sun".

Inside is a printed confession to "all Sun readers" apparently signed by the star.

It is only in the fifth paragraph of the story that the Sun reveals that Collymore was tricked into signing the confession at a book signing in Newcastle.

"Knowing he would never sign the confession willingly, we got Sun girl Michelle Dickie, 19, to hand it to him at a book signing session at a WH Smith branch in Newcastle," the story reads.

"Collymore thought he was giving a fan an autograph and signed the piece of paper with 'best wishes' - not realising the confession was on the other side."

The former Liverpool and England star, who has just published his autobiography, claimed in Monday's Daily Mirror that he was set upon by six Bath rugby union players at a nightclub in Dublin at the weekend.

The Sun's "confession" has Collymore admitting he "threw the first punch" and apologising to readers for "wasting all that football talent throughout my unfulfilled career".

Collymore's lawyer said he would be making a complaint to the PCC over today's article.

"I am instructed to make a complaint to the Press Complaints Commission regarding this morning's story in the Sun," said David Price of David Price Associates.

"I will be basing it on clause one [of the PCC's code of practice], which deals with accuracy, and clause 10, which forbids newspapers from using subterfuge to get stories unless it is in the public interest."

Collymore, who lost his job as a Radio 5 Live pundit earlier this year after he admitted "dogging" - looking for sex with strangers in car parks - is rarely out of the tabloid headlines for long.

Section one of the PCC's code of practice said the press "must take care not to publish inaccurate, misleading or distorted information. The press... must distinguish clearly between comment, conjecture and fact".

Clause 10, on clandestine devices and subterfuge, says "engaging in misrepresentation or subterfuge can generally be justified only in the public interest and then only when the material cannot be obtained by other means".

A spokesman for the PCC said: "If he wishes to make a complaint then we would be there to consider it. He hasn't done so yet but we would deal with it as we would with any other complaint."

No one at the Sun was available for comment.

Sun rapped for Collymore 'confession'

The Press Complaints Commission has condemned the Sun for faking and printing a front-page confession by footballer Stan Collymore in which he appeared to admit that he was a liar.
The watchdog said the tabloid newspaper, edited by Rebekah Wade, committed a "serious" breach of its code when it failed to make it explicit enough that Collymore had not in fact signed any confession and the article was a piece of fiction.

The splash story appeared in November and claimed the former England player had admitted he was a "lying scumbag" and included a printed confession to "all Sun readers" apparently signed by the star.

But it was only in the fifth paragraph of the story that the paper revealed that Collymore was tricked into signing the confession at a book signing.

In its ruling, the PCC described the story as a "serious" breach of its code of practice, and said the Sun had not been honest enough with readers about how it had obtained the so-called confession.

The story, which was printed on November 3, appeared in the Sun at the same time that the footballer's autobiography was being serialised in the Daily Mirror.

The Sun's "confession" had Collymore admitting that he "threw the first punch" in a fracas with six Bath rugby union players at a nightclub in Dublin the previous weekend, and apologising to readers for "wasting all that football talent throughout my unfulfilled career".

But the paper admitted it had tricked Collymore into signing the document at a book signing in Newcastle. It had handed him what appeared to be a blank piece of paper for an autograph.

"Collymore thought he was giving a fan an autograph and signed the piece of paper with 'best wishes' - not realising the confession was on the other side."

The player complained to the PCC through his lawyers, David Price, that the story breached clause one of the commission's code of practice, which deals with accuracy, and clause 10, which forbids newspapers from using subterfuge to get a story unless it is in the public interest.

Section one of the code says the press "must take care not to publish inaccurate, misleading or distorted information. The press... must distinguish clearly between comment, conjecture and fact."

Clause 10, on clandestine devices and subterfuge, says "engaging in misrepresentation or subterfuge can generally be justified only in the public interest and then only when the material cannot be obtained by other means."

The commission said it was a serious breach of its code, and said the Sun had not take sufficient care to highlight the way it had been obtained. The Sun declined to comment.

Collymore, who lost his job as a Radio Five Live pundit earlier this year after he admitted "dogging" - looking for sex with strangers in car parks - is rarely out of the tabloid headlines for long. He made his reality TV debut in the autumn as a contestant on Five's The Farm.

The PCC refused to comment until the adjudication has been officially released and published in the Sun.

Posh is not inviting Rebacca to tea:

"She'll also use the opportunity to meet up with friends and family, most of whom haven't seen the new addition to the Beckham clan. She's invited her Spice Girl bandmates - Geri Halliwell, Mel B, Emma Bunton and Mel C - and she's expecting them all to come."

It should certainly be a far happier occasion than her 30th, which she spent with no cake, no party and no husband.

Back then, Posh was still reeling from allegations that David, 29, had been unfaithful with his ex-PA Rebecca Loos and former model Sarah Marbeck - claims dismissed by the couple

'Small part' for Collymore in Basic Instinct sex scene

Former England footballer Stan Collymore has won a role alongside actress Sharon Stone in the blockbuster sequel to Basic Instinct, it was confirmed today.

The ex-Aston Villa and Liverpool striker will make a cameo appearance in Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction, reportedly having sex with the blonde star in a car.

The film is due to start shooting on Monday and will be made at the world-famous Pinewood Studios and on location in London.

The film’s spokeswoman confirmed Collymore had won a role: “He has got a part in the film, yes. It is only a small part, but he has been confirmed on this. He has really just only been signed.”

She added: “I can’t go into detail of character or the plot. There is a certain amount of mystery, so I can’t go into too much detail.”

The Sun newspaper said today that 33-year-old Collymore will feature in a thrilling opening scene, having sex with Stone in a sports car speeding through London.

But it added the erstwhile footballer will be killed off within 30 seconds, after the £180,000 Spyker C8 Laviolette ploughs into the Thames, and he drowns.

He gained notoriety in 1998 when he hit his then-lover Ulrika Jonsson, and his reputation was further battered last year when it was revealed he participated in “dogging” – voyeuristic sex with strangers.

The original 1992 film, which starred Michael Douglas and catapulted Stone to superstardom, became famous for the moment she uncrossed her legs to reveal she was wearing no underwear.

In the sequel, Stone reprises her role as icepick-wielding bisexual killer Catherine Tramell, while British actor David Morrissey plays a criminal psychiatrist who is appointed by Scotland Yard to evaluate her and soon falls under her spell.
