THE FAME ACADEMY DIARIES: EDITH AND DAWN Mar 8 2005
Beverley Lyons And Cath Bennett
THE two Scots girls in the Fame Academy, Dawn Steele and Edith Bowman, are keeping exclusive diaries for us. Here's their update from the past couple of days:
EDITH'S DIARY
ANOTHER day, another diary entry. I can't believe I'm still here. Sunday was hard for us all. I've no idea why, but we all got a bit emotional. We were annoyed at the judges who seem to have forgotten that this is all for Comic Relief. As long as we're raising a lot of money that's the main thing. It was also tough losing Gina on Sunday. After the show we were given a bit of a surprise when Ainsley Harriott arrived with a trolley of food. We tucked into monkfish curry, chapatis and a few bottles of bubbly. We didn't let Ainsley leave until he'd given us a song. Nick got the guitar out and we had a few verses of Mustang Sally, prompted by Ade shouting 'ready, steady, sing.' got a surprise delivery in my pigeon hole - Colin had delivered two bottles of Irn-Bru and two packets of throat sweets with a lovely wee note. Got to bed about 1am and was up like a lark again at 7am. Monday's exercise class was quite an event, not only did we have Kevin's intense work-out but a guest in the form of Tottenham's Jermain Defoe. He gave us some circuits and a few footie warm ups, then we took penalties with Kevin in goal. Nick managed to put a window out with one shot, then Reggie challenged the rest of us to get two goals past him, if we did, he'd do a forfeit. The forfeit was that he'd dye his hair red - we succeeded.
DAWN'S DIARY
IT'S really odd, but I am starting to find this whole experience very emotional. Saturday was a big day as we had group songs to do as well as our solo song. Me, Edith, Reggie and Gina had Where is the Love by the Black Eyed Peas. I was a bit scared as the one thing I put on my form that I did not want to rap. Me and Edith got off lightly with the chorus and Reggie and Gina did well with the 'cool' bit. was in the bottom three, but was fortunately saved by the judges. Thank God for the cocktail waiter and his raspberry margaritas.
