QUEEN BITCH
Boy George lays into music stars
BOY George has let rip at Elton John, Madonna, George Michael and Eminem in a bitchy outburst.
The gay singer hit out at Elton for performing at the 2002 MTV Awards with US rapper Eminem, who has been blasted for his homophobic lyrics.
Boy George said: "It's like me singing with Pol Pot.
"People will call you a fag or whatever occasionally, but it's so much more prevalent now and he has to take some responsibility.
"He's an a**hole and I think every gay person with a brain cell found it hideously offensive to see Elton performing with him."
Boy George, who fronted 1980s band Culture Club, then had a go at Madonna. He said she used the gay community to boost her career but then converted to the Kabbalah religion whiclh he claims is against homosexuality.
He said: "Her agenda with the gay community was always about, 'It's good for me'.
"It's ironic that she's joined an organisation that says homosexuality is a disease that can be cured and no one picks her up on it.
"After making all those millions of dollars out of gay people pretending to kiss girls, pretending to be a lesbian. I think she's cynical."
Boy George, now working as a club DJ and living in New York, also said gay George Michael was a hypocrite because he didn't come out early on in his career.
He slagged off the Wham! star claiming his arrest in a Los Angeles toilet stereotyped all gays as "rampant".
The DJ, then turned his vitriol on TV, first criticising makeover show ***** Eye For The Straight Guy, in which gay men give style tips to straight men. "My life is about much more than what my cushions are like, or what theatre show I should go to," he said. "It's really poncy. I just think that they should leave straight people alone. They look fine."
He was recently invited to take part in ITV's I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here but refused saying he would rather "sleep in the gutter".
Boy George, 43, whose musical lifestory Taboo flopped on Broadway after three months, launched his tirade in The Times as he promoted his new book Straight.
He once famously said that he preferred a "nice cup of tea to sex".
Now he says of his sex life: "I think you go through periods when you're like, 'I can't be bothered', and just drink cups of tea.
"But then you go through stages when you're amassing a football team on a weekly basis.
"I try not to have too many one-night stands. Once in a while is OK when you're starving and you really need that bit of comfort."
And the DJ, renowned for his flamboyant clothes, has the ultimate chat-up line.
He said: "I'm drunk in a disco and somebody equally drunk is staring at me and I'm like, 'OK, want to see the rest of my hats?'."
