Well the full results are in
(Channel 4 Greatest Albums)
I was a bit surprised by some of the result. Can't argue with the winner:
OK Computer (Radiohead) is a great album from a great band (they've come a long way since I used to see them downing pints off the Cowley Road when I was a student in Oxford) but so many great albums so far down the list:
Is This It (The Strokes) - 89th,
Bat Out of Hell ((Meat Loaf) - 86th (although I'm not a fan doesn't this album hold the record for most consecutive number of weeks in the Top 50?),
London Calling (The Clash) - 44th, and
Never Mind The Bollocks Here's The Sex Pistols (Sex Pistols) - 31st,
(What's the Story) Morning Glory (Oasis), and
Parachutes (Coldplay) failing to make the Top 10.
A Rush of Blood To The Head (Coldplay) and
The Wall (Pink Floyd) failed to make the Top 100.
I have mixed feelings about
The Joshua Tree. It came out at a time when I was the only person in my year who listened to U2 and suddenly everyone liked them

. They've gone downhill since that imho. But what surprised me was how artists such as Bjork and Madonna were so high. Of course, it's all subjective
