I hate the phrase Z-list, surely it refers to reality TV show losing contestants like Justine and others

Leilani is a very sucessful model who probably earns 10-times what this idjit writing for a local newspaper does :D

I have seen an advert with Michelle talking, so the entire article is pointless :-?

EVER fancied wrapping James Hewitt in bandages? Or perhaps even tending to Page 3 girl Leilani Dowding's bruises?

If you have, be very jealous of physiotherapist Sammy Margo, who will be spending the next few weeks doing just that.

Miss Margo, 32, who lives in Finchley Road, Temple Fortune, is the official physio on ITV's Celebrity Wrestling programme, which begins tomorrow.

Television bosses spotted Miss Margo after she appeared in a string of features about physiotherapy in national newspapers and magazines.

She said: "As official physiotherapist it is my job to look after the celebrities on and off stage.

"I help them warm up and run repairs on minor injuries."

Miss Margo has worked as a physio from her practice in Finchley Road, Child's Hill, for 17 years.

Celebrity Wrestling will catapult her to new heights of fame.

The programme brings together a heady mix of celebrities to grapple with each other in the ring.

Miss Margo's new clients include Big Brother 3 winner Kate Lawler, buxom porn star Victoria Silvstedt and former EastEnders heart-throb Marc Bannerman.

To make matters even tougher, this was Miss Margo's first wrestling challenge.

She said: "I hadn't treated wrestlers before the show. But I have treated Olympic judo players. The injuries you get wrestling are similar to rugby injuries - bruises and hard blows.

"So the only real difference is that the damage is more aggressive. Then again, we're only dealing with celebrities."

However, some of the celebrities are trained athletes, such as former tennis star Annabel Croft in the ladies' group, and Commonwealth Games gold medallist Iwan Thomas on the men's team.

But Miss Margo says this does not give them an unfair advantage

She said: "It wasn't the case. This is a Gladiator-style celebrity wrestling competition.

"There are lots of physical challenges and different games.

"Some require skill, others speed, flexibility or sheer weight. In one game, being short is an advantage."

Miss Margo is also a commentator on ITV2's Injury Focus follow-up show, which analyses the damage sustained during Celebrity Wrestling.

But she is tight-lipped about behind the scenes dramas but she does admit to having favourites.

She said: "James Hewitt was a lovely chap. Annabel Croft was fabulous too. They were all really lovely. Everybody was really competitive, but also very friendly and supportive at the same time. Of course, there was fighting - but it's all on film, so you'll have to watch it."

An ITV spokesman said: "Miss Margo was busy with a lot of injuries. It was a really physical show - proper wrestling. She certainly had her work cut out."

GET READY TO RUMBLE
Celebrity Wrestling is Imogen Ridgway's Saturday's choice for tv viewers in the Evening Standard tonight.

Why not? Saturday nights have always been the home of bright, brash, large-scale light-entertainment nonsense. If the Beeb can re-upholster Come Dancing so it becomes a weekend must-see, why shouldn,t ITV plunder its own heritage and bolt together wrestlinh and Gladiators?
Celebrity wrestling is non-taxing, daft telly that doesn't waste any time pretending to be a talent contest -- it is simply Lycra-based silliness and a chance for a bunch of minor celebrities to camp it up like crazy while wrestling each other to the padded floor.
The physical effort involved is genuine, mind. Before filming began, the 12 mildy famous participantstook part in a super-tough training regime, in which they learned bonafide wrestling skills under the tutelage of American WWE starsJoe Legend and D-lo Brown.
It is not just straight wrestling - there is sumo style competition, a game in which wrestlers are joined by a rope and pulley and a round called Rip Wrestling, where participants must tear off their opponet's specail paper suits.Could a game involving the removal of clothes be at all relalted to the number of pretty young ladies taking oart in the show?
Victoria Silvstedt is the Ice Madian and makes her entrance walking a pair of big white dogs.
James Hewitt is named Gentlleman Jim and wears a pink shirt and a pair of silly trousers.
It's all delightfully daft, even if it is more then a little reminiscent of schedules past. The Gladiaters-style giant hands foam hands have even come out of retirement. Bring It On....

Sorry no link.

FLIGHT CLUB
Celebrity wrestler Victoria skips training to jet to party

VICTORIA Silvstedt sent TV chiefs into a panic when she flew off for a party.

The Celebrity Wrestling star suddenly skipped training - and no one knew where she was.

She finally turned up 12 hours later and calmly told frantic execs she had been at a champagne do in Milan.

An insider said: "Everyone was furious she vanished without telling them.

"No one could get hold of her on the phone and the producers didn't have a clue where she was. In the end, they were just very relieved to see her back."

The Swedish-born model, who takes on Jenny Powell in tonight's ITV1 show, has admitted she finds the schedule tough. She said: "It's much harder than I expected.

"I've got bruising, I'm red and I've banged my head. We've been fighting like cats and rats."

Victoria, 30, has repeatedly been told off by trainers for being "superglued" to her mobile.

A source said: "She has been constantly chatting while she was supposed to be learning the moves.

Kate Thornton, the presenter of Celebrity Wrestling, has revealed that nothing escaped the cameras during filming.

Kate has promised viewers tears, tantrums and plenty of drama even though she thought the new Saturday night ITV1 show could probably be best described as violent pantomime.

The two teams, with six celebrities in each, are called the Warriors and the Crusaders. They will fight to earn points both for themselves and for their groups.

After six weeks one team will be awarded the Team Championship Trophy and then the top four male wrestlers and the top four females will enter a knockout tournament.

On the final show the Male and Female Celebrity Wrestling Champions will be crowned.

Actor Marc Bannerman has revealed that fellow celebrity wrestlers gave him stick for being overweight when he first showed up for training.

The ex-EastEnders star said he had to work harder than anyone else to get his fitness levels up to scratch for Celebrity Wrestling - a new primetime Saturday night show on ITV1 in which celebrities do battle in the ring.

Twelve celebs are split into two teams - the Warriors and the Crusaders - and will fight to earn points both for themselves and for their teams.

After six weeks, one group will be awarded the Team Championship Trophy and then the top four male wrestlers and the top four females will enter a knockout tournament. On the final show, the male and female champions will be crowned.

The celebs include Marc, Liberty X's Michelle Heaton, presenter Jenny Powell, James Hewitt, Jeff Brazier, pin-up Leilani Dowding, presenter Mark Speight, ex-tennis star Annabel Croft, Kate Lawler, Victoria Silvstedt, showjumper Oliver Skeete and athlete Iwan Thomas.

The teams are trained by two world famous wrestlers for the American circuit, D-Lo Brown and Joe Legend. The programme is presented by Kate Thornton and WWF legend 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper.

::lol:: Me too!

The Crusaders deserved their win last night - they seemed to have all the best moves... thanks to their trainer D-Lo. Jenny Powel was a right littel goer! I just hope Kate is fast on her feet when it's her bouts.

THE BIG GRAPPLE: ROWDY'S READY TO RUMBLE HOW WRESTLING STAR TAMED CAT-FIGHTERS EXCLUSIVE

By Steve Hendry

KILTED grappler Roddy Piper has told how he had to stop his Celebrity Wrestling girls battling for real.

'Rowdy' Roddy said the stunning celebs were ready to square up before they even climbed into the ring.

The Glasgow-born WWF star is co-hosting the ITV show, which started its eight-week run last night, with presenter Kate Thornton. But Rowdy, who gets piped into the ring, says the girls couldn't wait to tear lumps out of each other.

Big Brother winner-turned-TV presenter Kate Lawler had a furious bust-up with ex-Miss Great Britain Leilani Dowding, who accused her of scratching her boobs in training. Leilani also accused former Miss Sweden Victoria Silvstedt of looking like Lily Savage.

Victoria also fell foul of the other girls on the show, who include TV presenter Jenny Powell, Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton and former tennis player Annabel Croft.

Roddy said: 'It got a bit out of hand so I told them to save it for the ring or face me!'

Celebrity Wrestling also features love rat James Hewitt, ex-EastEnder Marc Bannerman and kids' TV host Mark Speight.

Roddy, who started wrestling at 15, said: 'If you're 15 and wear a kilt in Houston, Texas, you've got to be tough. But never fight a girl. You can't win. Crying? There's no crying in wrestling

I thought the show was great! Just what the veiwers need at tea-time on a Saturday night. Jenny Powell and Jeff really went for it big time and I could see the hunger in the other celebrities eyes waiting for their turn in the ring. BRING IT ON :D

Wrestler Jeff says fear's a factor

TV presenter Jeff Brazier has confessed that he was frequently terrified before stepping into the Celebrity Wrestling ring.

However, Jade Goody's ex-partner said that a little fear is probably a good thing.

Jeff also revealed that he lost the use of an arm in one bout but courageously wrestled on regardless.

Kate: 'Hewitt impossible to dislike'

Celebrity Wrestling presenter Kate Thornton has said that whatever people think of James Hewitt, it is impossible not to like him.

Kate also revealed that Jade Goody's ex partner Jeff Brazier is a great dad who regularly brought his kids on to the set.

Celebrity Wrestling is a new primetime Saturday night show on ITV1 where celebrities do battle in the ring. The contestants are eventually named male and female celebrity wrestling champion after a series of bouts over six weeks.

Hewitt, who was branded a "love rat" for his relationship with Princess Diana, said: "I'm really pleased I did it. I have been treated shabbily in the past but you have to take the rough with the smooth."

The former army officer, who has appeared in reality shows The Games and Back to Reality, said: "I am being positive and moving on and I get the feeling that many people are happy to move on with me.

"I am not trying to force anyone to have a particular opinion about me but I am laying it out as I see it and if they want to come along and enjoy what I am doing that is fine." [url=http://www.itv.com/news/entertainment_529117.html]ITV
