Simon Cowell has defended his co-judge on American Idol Paula Abdul who is alleged to have had an affair with one of the show's contestants.
Cowell, who is often seen arguing with the 80s popstar on the US show, said: "I've worked with Paula now for four years, and we've had our moments, but she's there to offer support to the contestants, and I've never seen anything untoward in all of the years I've worked with her."
But, Cowell, dubbed Mr Nasty for his biting comments on the show, is scathing about Corey Clark, the contestant who is making the allegations he slept with Abdul.
He told the Regis & Kelly Show that Clark "managed to sing the worst song I've ever heard" on the show,
reports the New York Post.
Clark, who releases an album next month, has claimed that Abdul told him she loved him.
Abdul, during an appearance on Saturday Night Live last weekend, took part in an interview spoofing Clark's allegations.
