So called petty offenders,. The gits that slash your tyres, nick your stereo or your whole car or maybe even break into your home when you are asleep are the ones that mo0stly get community hours.

Yes they should be named and shamed and if a way of doing that is to dress them in orange boiler suits then so be it.

Make them wear BELLS so that honest people can hear them as they approach  We have a tendancy to be a bit soft with a lot of offenders.

Yep, we're WAY too soft on criminals. Remember, the law is designed to deter law-abiding citizens so it's totally wasted for criminals. Dress 'em in Orange, attach bells and tags (preferably ones that give them a mild electric shock if they venture out too far).

A few weeks ago my best mate and his wife were woken by an intruder IN THEIR BEDROOM holding a knife (one of their wedding presents it turned out). Luckily the guy was so drugged up that he told my mate his name and was later caught by police sniffer dogs. I bet this young, scrawny drug-addict will probably get a few months by an out-of-tune judge before he gets let out again :-? .

I blame the yob culture on do-gooders and over-protective parents who are against any form of punishment for children that misbehave who only go on to worse crimes. Society has become way too soft. Bring back stocks and public flogging!

See it every day at school.Parents who won't accept responsibility for their childrens poor behaviour. The kids have no respect for the staff as a result as they know that the parents will back up the little buggers. The kids never learn to take responsibility for themselves because they aren't taught to do so.
I have to admit it's a very small minority of families round here like that but nonetheless it's quite significant.

Actually not sure about this as people doing community service are minor offenders. Wouldn't it be better to make the real criminals where this when they come out of prison for a couple of year ...so we could all see them coming

Saw this on GMTV this morning. Can't believe those do-gooders who say ''oooh no this is the 21st century, we really shouldn't be humiliating people, it's not teaching them anything and violating their human rights.''
FFS they are only suggesting the wear orange suits. It's not like they are saying bring back hanging.
If people don't break into cars, graffiti everywhere or commit whatever they call a 'petty offense' (pretty bloody offensive though when you are the victim) then what are they worried about?
Personally I wouldn't give two sh1ts if they were made to wear elephant trunk thongs and do the macerena.

Too bloody right they should wear Orange, if people who work should have to wear crap uniforms, then I'm sure these buggers can. Already the do-gooders are on winging about these people right's, there on the telly like a shot, yet you never hear them talking about the rights of people beaten up in the streets or mugged or robbed. Sod em it's time this country got bloody tough on these scum bags and gave the streets back to people would like to go out at night. The one way to piss em off is make them look uncool and let us lot go by and have a laugh at em. When I was a younger I got belted by my dad if I misbehaved or gave cheek or got the cane at school. If you ever thought of being cheeky to an adult on the street you expected to get a slap, and if you whinged about it were told it was your own fault by your parents. So you wouldn't do it again because there was no point you wouldnt get any sympathy, these days its just pathetic.

I am not sure if they should be made to wear an orange suit. I think it could help to reduce crime but saying that it would be worse to be put into prison but still some people have been in prisons quite a few times after repeating crimes so it might not work by gettintg criminals on community service to wear orange suits. Although it might make some people to think twice about commiting crime but some people might still commit crime even if they are made to wear an orange suit.

They wouldnt if they had to go out in them on the streets and were told to wear the things at all time's. The police would know who they were right away, and we'd know how many scum bags there were in this county to avoid. The less orange uniforms we'd see the better society would be gettin because they would be learning to behave themselves to avoid the humilitation, that's how it works, being nice with them doesn't work because there not nice to people minding there own business, the do gooders have tried and failed :8o: The do gooders are helping to bring this country down :8o:
