Bookies have closed the betting on a couple having sex on Celebrity Love Island.

Abi Titmuss was the 1/2 favourite to have sex first on the Island.

Ladbrokes spokesman Warren Lush said: "We've called a halt to bets on sex on the island.

"We regret offering them in the first place now as a bonk on the island paradise looks a racing certainty. The only question is whether the first link-up is going to be heterosexual as Abi and Rebecca may get there first."

Meanwhile, Paul Danan and Lee Sharpe are the bookies favourite in the boys to win the £100,000 prize.

Lady Isabella Hervey, Jayne Middlemiss and Abi Titmuss are the 3/1 bookies favourite to win the female prize.

The money is awarded to the last couple who remain on the show.

Warren Lush added: "There has been no surprises with the early money. Paul and Lady Isabella have been all the rage and are favourites to win after heading on down to the Love Shack but there has been plenty of support for Jayne and Lee. Punters think the ex-footballer can settle the homesick Geordie tv presenter."

Celebrity Love Island

Given that our Fijian hideaway is ram-packed full of megastars, it’s sometimes difficult to remember who they actually all are.

So as our love-hungry liggers set forth on a voyage of free accommodation and five-star relaxation on a tropical island, we thought it was a timely moment to reflect on their early form.

The girls wafted on to the beach like a breath of stale strawberry daiquiri, and promptly set about thoroughly embedding themselves by the pool.

Although Jayne Middlemiss found the first 24-hours tough, comparing it to her time at brownie camp (it wasn’t like that in our day), she did seem to set her sites on the handy ball-skills of Lee Sharpe.
Meanwhile, Lady Issy had every single man salivating as she unsheathed a stomach that Fran declared was ripe for frying eggs on. Paul promptly readied his cooking utensils before realising that he didn’t have any olive oil.

And Judi was, well, she was there. We didn’t see much of Judi (well, technically, that’s a lie – we got quite an eyeful), but the feisty fillie certainly wolf-whistled a merry tune. And what can we say about Abi and Rebecca? Loos had Calum salivating in her skimpy black number, Abi simply salivated over Calum. But Abi managed to put her quite insane jealousy behind her, and so lumbered around the pool thrusting out her quite ample chest.

Arriving in style, our chaps strolled on to the beach brandishing little more than a jet-ski.

All except for the non-swimming Michael Greco, who’ll be a tad stuck if you guys decide not to vote him off our Fijian paradise. During the day, he wowed the ladies with a spot of yoga, before spending some time imitating a monkey. Nice.

Fran and Calum had a less than auspicious start. Calum spent much of the day swatting off Abi and ogling Rebecca, while Fran simply managed to peeve Issy, Abi and anyone else who’d talk to him with his tales of rampant nookie.

But our two bumptious bounders paled into insignificance when compared to Paul Danan. The undoubted star of the show thus-far, Danan wowed us with his break-dancing / falling, his profound wisdom and his incredible panda-eyes.

And while Paul had the ladies positively mothering him, Du’aine left them gurgling in delight as Rebecca slathered the Olympian in sun-tan lotion.

So there you have it. What will the future hold for our lusty lotharios and loved-up ladies? Well, that’s quite simply for you to decide, people!

Fame-hungry no-marks
Shameless wannabes ... Celebrity Love Island

I LOVE reality TV and couldn’t wait for Celebrity Love Island to start.

But after sitting through the first boring episode I felt cheated.

Celebrity Love Island is complete dross ... a boring show full of fame-hungry, no-mark celebrities. Says JORDAN ::lol:: ::lol:: ::lol::

It should be renamed Wannabes Island.

CELEBRITY LOVE ISLAND: SHELLEY'S VERDICT

SOME people may say Celebrity Love Island is totally unimpressive, but I beg to differ.

I mean, making a programme more Z-list than The Farm, tackier than Celebrity Detox or more amateurish than Celebrity Wrestling isn't easy.

The devil as they say is in the detail.

If you could write a parody of modern British culture in which the son of the great George Best, Calum would fail the first challenge on a TV show like this because he couldn't spell c-e-l-e-b-r-i-t-y, it'd be so observant, you'd be hailed as a new Nick Hornby.

To be fair to poor Calum he certainly ISN'T one. No wonder he couldn't spell "foie gras."

Abi Titmuss made up for her hissy fit over being branded "promiscuous" by Fran Cosgrave (the outrage of it!) by breezing through her spelling of "inconsequential" - perhaps the nicest thing anyone's ever said about her.

Perhaps frying their poor little brains in the Fijian heat wasn't such a good idea.

Hopefully, ITV have made a note to make the next tasks less taxing.

Paul Danan, Jayne Middlemiss, Lee Sharpe, Du'aine Ladejo, Isabella Hervey, Liz McClarnon and Judi Shekoni have explained to each who they are and must now face living in the shadow of showbiz giants such as Titmuss, Best and Rebecca Loos

What they said about ... Celebrity Love Island

"There is a kind of grotesque irony that this new low in the history of ITV should come a few months before the channel celebrates its 50th anniversary," said Stephen Glover in the Daily Mail the morning after the first episode of Celebrity Love Island, in which 12 minor celebrities were placed on a Fijian island and left to find romance, or otherwise, with each other.

"When ITV was launched in September 1955, many feared it would debase standards of public decency. Of course, no one could conceive in those days of anything as low as Celebrity Love Island," added Glover.

In the Daily Mirror, Tony Parsons felt equal distaste, noting that it was "allegedly the tackiest reality show of all time ... which I fear will have little love and no genuine celebrities".

The columnist was not alone in thinking romance was not the point of the show. "It is obvious that Celebrity Love Island is, in fact, Celebrity Shag Island to everyone except Radio Times," said Caitlin Moran in the Times. "In fact, Celebrity Orgy is so determined to televise the first-ever B-list poke that it has invited celebrities to the island who have already slept with each other, just to hurry the process along."

Let us return to more innocent times, pleaded Moreen Simpson in the Aberdeen Evening Express. "I'm surprised that the prime ITV channel should be producing such a programme," she said. Viewers wanted more drama and current affairs, she felt. "Or variety programmes with good comedians like we used to have ... Too many of today's comedians are vulgar and use bad language."

But there was one who refused to criticise, even if Jasper Gerard was a little limp in his defence in the Sunday Times. "The naked aim of the ITV series is to show attractive(ish), famous(ish) folk have sex on screen. It should be applauded for its honesty," he said. "The possibility of sex on set was, after all, the only lure of Big Brother, yet its dumb contestants believed we were interested in their witterings. At least in this Lady Isabella Hervey, Abi Titmuss, Rebecca Loos and friends know the score. These 'celebs' are admitting they are as free of talent as they are of taste, and to remain in the public eye they have to give us, well, an eyeful." mediaguardian

What makes me laugh Hippo, is, the press/media that slag CLI and the other reality tv shows off continue to call the female contestants in the shows the most horrible names   but thye all send their reporters to cover the shows.
The radio presenters who would sell their a***'s to get a hit show, urge their listeners to text in their opinons on said shows so they can spend an hour or sometimes the whole 2 hours of their show discussing the reality tv show in detail whilst at the same time urging the reader/listener/viewer to turn off. :-?

I read there was another bet called "The Abi National"-whoever gets to at least give a bit of finger is the winner.Rebecca and Calum were JF's.It also got withdrawn for bad taste. ;)

Celebrity Love Island - Only the Best for Liz McClarnon

We haven’t seen a lot of Liz McClarnon so far. But the sultry singer is seeing more than enough of the handsome hunks strutting about the Love Island. And she’s rather keen on one lucky chap in particular.

“Calum makes me laugh,” cried the 24-year old Scouser. "It’s about getting on with people and I seem to get on with him quite well.”
Rather than attending to the purring Kitten, Calum seemed more interested in repairing his rather dented pride.

The 24-year old was left reeling after Abi chose to take Fran on a date, rather than his sultry self. And as soon as the busty blonde returned to their Fijian hideaway, Calum was quick to pounce.

Straddling Abi, Calum apologised repeatedly before smothering her head and neck with kisses. So will the lovely Kitten be forced to get her claws out? Is Abi’s ploy to snag her man working? You know that there’s only one way to find out… femalefirst

They've got a sweep running in Zoo to see which will be the first coupling.Shortest odds are for Abi Titsout-for the-lads and Callum Best!!!Personally I'd put my money on the toxic trollopes getting together if only so that they can prolong their time in the media spotlight
