Double divorcee Mrs Atkins, 38, remains unrepentant about the family's situation. She told the Sunday Mercury: "I don't care what people say about me.

"I blame the schools - sex education for young girls should be better. They have all ruined their lives because they are far too young to have children."

:8o: well she bloody should care! its ridiculous to blame it on the school. Teaching your children sex education can be embarrassing but it HAS to be done. I have told my daughter (11) she can ask me what ever she likes and I wont mind as I would rather she heard it from me and had the facts and was able to feel like she could talk about it. of course she will hear stuff at school too but I want her to feel like she can talk to me about anything. Mind you I later regretted it when she asked me what a bl*w job was cos she heard about it at school

People who always complain about the benefit system being too soft always puzzle me, because they always say I work hard blar... blar... to many taxes blar... blar... fair enough good for you, but if you've always done these things and never had to go to a benefit office to claim it. How do you know how easy it is, just because the papers tell it you it is, doesn't mean it's true. I've been unemployed and can assure you it isn't easy to get and it isn't easy to stay on it. These people who claim it, have to sit in jobclubs and do back to work interviews for 8 hours 5 days a week if you've been out of work and move onto Income Based JSA from Contribution Based JSA which is what you have payed in, which is your right, because you've payed your own taxes for it. I'm sorry but people who think that being out of work pay's a fortune and is easy are just so wrong. The gutter press of this country so love to turn the population against each other for some reason. It's been said so many times before and with increasing regularity these days. It acutally harder now to get benefits under Labour than it was when Maggie Thatcher that ultra right winger ran the country and the paper's know this very well but it sells the crap stories obviously, because Britains so love a public hanging and the chance to hate somebody, it's never gone away and don't suppose it ever will. I wish I knew the answers. I'm as much to blame as the next person.

Agreed Stevo, especially the latest talk from "New Labour" about how easy Incapacity benefit is to claim, my mum was dying and we still weren't entitled apparently, and my mum worked all her life

Also "Attendance allowance" is ridiculously hard to get, but Thatcher did start this ridiculous spiral of blame on the weakest of society!! Her policies to create mass-unemployment has caused the entire chavy-underclass which is ruining society today

ho-hum

is that £31,000 EACH or between them? That's still outrageous. Why do we have a social welfare system that makes it so attractive for young girls to play real-life mummy and daddy? GET OUT AND GET A F****** JOB YOU LAZY B*****s.

There, I said it. Their mum blaming the schools says it all. The worst thing is, this isn't a one off. Can't we have a policy of swapping asylum seekers who want to work with the home-grown leeches that drain our taxes?
:8o:

I couldn't agree more. My ex came here as an asylum seeker and the genuine ones who want to work should have nothing to be ashamed of. He didn't drink/smoke/swear/be promiscuous he worked hard, he started his own business running a fast-food shop and he employs other people and pays taxes! In some ways they can't win tho, if they get a job they're taking jobs from the British and if they have benefits they're spongers? I think only real asylum seekers are acceptable but the fake ones I don't have any time for! Even people came into the shop and called him a fecking Kurdish sponger but he didn't take the job from anyone - he created it himself and employs others! :8o:

the state doesn't help either - they've made it far too attractive for people not to work.

We have the same "problem" here too. It's great that people who for one reason or another loose their jobs have the system to back them up for the time beeing, but then on the other hand there are lots of people who just take advantage and don't even want to work. We get a lot of "job applicants" who as their first priority when calling ask about the pay, and when they hear it they say; oh, there's no way I'll work for that, I can get the same amount staying home. There are also these people who ask for a job for certain amount of days so they'll fulfill certain terms for certain benefit. Grrrr that creeps me out! What are these people made of?

Mac, you sound like a responsible young woman to me. Sometimes life throws things on our way and we have to make a decision on how to handle the situation and make the best of it. Sounds like you've done that ()^ (the smiley - just to spite T  )
