I don't pray ordinarily...but I have today as a matter of support

Me neither, I don't even believe in God the way I used to. A close friend was murdered (by so-called 'Islamic' terrorists) ${ in India in 1995 and I lost my faith at that point. The last time I prayed was when the Pope was dying and God I sobbed my heart out! He's the only Pope I've ever known and I really resent this new guy calling himself 'Pope' I can't help it even tho I know it's unfair.

We went through hell while this was going on, they said they would kill him on Wed at 12pm and we would be terrified then it wouldn't happen then they said another date another time, again it wouldn't happen, eventually we realised that they must've killed him bcz they stopped making demands but never told us. They're lower than animals. Nobody is capable of making others suffer so badly if they have any goodness in them. Even today we don't have a body to bury and we don't know the day or how it was done to him that he died. Paul Wells. I hate them.

I'm so sorry, Molly. That's just utterly terrible.

AFP

GLENEAGLES, Scotland (AFP) - Terrorists alone were responsible for the London bombings, British Prime Minister Tony Blair said at the end of the G8 summit, implicitly denying any slip-up by the security services.

In response to a question on how the multiple blasts Thursday could have been allowed to happen, Blair indicated that he did not believe that there had been a failure on the part of the police or intelliegence services.

"My opinion is that those people who kill the innocent and cause such bloodshed, that they are responsible and they are solely responsible," he said in a response that prompted a stoney silence in the press conference.

More than 50 people were killed when bombs went off during morning rush hour on three London subway trains and a double decker bus. Foreign Secretary Jack Straw has linked the attacks to Al-Qaeda cells.

Blair thanked his G8 partners, and the African, Asia and Latin American leaders invited to the summit, for the support they had shown to Britain following the nation's deadliest bombings since World War II.

They had showed "commitment to the British people at what has obviously been a difficult time," he said before returning to London for a late-day meeting of his crisis management team, known as Cobra.

"They showed great leadership and a very great sense of friendship towards my country," he added, "and I was honoured to receive that."

thank you, sorry to get overemotional. It's just that it was 10 years on the 04 of June and it doesn't seem even 6 months to me. The date he was kidnapped I mean, we don't know how or when he was actually killed but it was prob the same year and he was one of the last two to be killed. I just hope that by then the kidnappers had some empathy for him so they didn't hurt him to bad. I still find myself wondering if maybe they let him go and the trauma caused amnesia so he can't let us know that he's ok

I know. You can't stop hoping untill a body is found. A close friend of mine vanished in to thin air in 1996. He was gone for three years untill they found his body (or what was left of it at that point) in the water pretty close to his home. I always kind of knew he had killed himself, but kept hoping he'd turn up behind every corner. I kept chasing backs here and there untill he was found, it didn't stop for three years. I still miss him so much it brings tears to my eyes everytime I think of him. Your story is so much more traumatic than mine, but I can still feel your pain.

*hugs*

Sorry for your loss Liisi, thanks HC. I'll shut up now before I make everyone depressed.
How is the baby Liisi? I remember you saying he'd fallen and cut his lip? I hope he's feeling better.

Thank you.
His lip is allmost back to normal :) It was really swollen the whole weekend a week ago, but now it's much better. He didn't let the incident bother him for very long, he was allready ok the next day even though he looked weird with that huge lower lip :D Thanks for asking!

Awww! Glad he's feeling better honey! Kids are so resiliant aren't they? I spent the day with my 2-year old nephew once and I almost had a heart attack at the amount of accidents he nearly had! He was fine tho, it was me who needed calming down! glad he's ok :D

Yeah, that's how it is with kids you're not together with all the time. You feel so jumpy 'cause you don't quite know all of their stunts and stuff, so in the end of the day your fall asleep before they do :D My mother-in-law always wares herself out when she spends even the littlest time with my kids since she doesn't see them very often and she's so overprotective all the time. It takes days untill you start to realize how they go on about their business.
