The message from Kemals family...Had a tear in my eye

I think some of the housemates went over the top with the crying buisness. Vanessa was like niagra falls, and Kemal wasn't that far off either. I noticed Derek was shedding a tear over Kemal's message, but he just kept it to himself. Makes me think some of them were just going over the top to try and gain sympathy. You think one of their close relative's had just died.

Makosi had to really struggle to find a reason to steal the limelight from Kemal. I found Derek's tear to be the most touching, I think we can guess by the lack of relatives in his video that his family reacted quite differently to Kemals.

Yes, even though Derek is a slimy peice of work, i would have liked some of his family to have been present on the video. I actually thought he was shedding a tear over Kemal's video, just until i read your post, i realised that it may have been that there were no family present in his.

I'm guessing (and it is just a guess) that he never had the acceptance from his family that Kemal just did, and that's why he felt so emotional.

I believe Derek was shedding tears because he knew how difficult it must have been for both Kemal, and Kemal's family. Derek must have gone through trauma when he was Kemal's age - or younger - because 20 years ago, it was harder for gay people to come out. It's still not exactly easy, as is evident from watching BB.

Is it me, or was makosi's "Crying" VERY false.

Along with vanessa's, she was wailing, but not one tear had fallen from her eye yet .

I suspected the Makosi might have felt that her moment was lacking in tear-jerker-ness, so she supplied a bit more herself, in the Diary Room.

Makosi finds it very easy to turn on the waterworks when the time is right.

Science,Anthony and Craig all showed genuine ractions to their videos.

Makosi and Kemal didnt.

Or maybe his parents are dead. Or maybe he dumped them.

I would usually be in floods watching something like that, but there wasn't even a hint of a tear!

Think that proves how emotionally UNattached I am to this years housemates! 'Orrible lot....

The only housemates i have any good feelings for are, Eugene, Orlaith and Anthony. The rest just sit there bitching about whoever comes into their mind first.

Me too, I was very touched and it must have been a huge thing for him to see that. It has been even more emotional for him than for Brian in BB2, who at least had told his parents he was gay just before he came into the house.

As I said in another thread, I think Kemal will lighten up a lot now that he knows he has his parents support.
