The last race has been run, the final cheer given and the first inaugural Big Brother Games is over. Here are the highlights.

Makosi and Derek gave a breathtaking performance in the gymnastics, leaping around rhythmically to It's Raining Men.

The choice of tune was strangely appropriate, "because Makosi loves men," Kemal commented wryly.

The highlight of the Games had to be Makosi getting her ribbon hopelessly tangled up, whilst Derek distracted the crowd with a striking balance.

On to the synchronised swimming we saw Science battle with his fear of chlorine.

And of course all eyes were on the lovely Orlaith, despite her positively respectable swimming costume. We don't think we've ever seen her so covered up before, we almost didn't recognise her.

The trampolining was a ramshackle affair with the gymnasts having to set up their own mats. Vanessa and Eugene went out of synch almost immediately, and then Eugene spectacularly broke the trampoline.

Kemal's post match analysis with Eugene picked up on this asking, "Eugene, how did you feel when the trampoline broke?"

"If I had had a better trampoline I would have done better," a breathless Eugene said.

The athletes are now waiting to hear the results.

Task Results Announced
Day 48, 18:11
channel 4

Big Brother has announced the individual results for cycling, gymnastics, synchronised swimming and trampolining. It's not great, frankly.

Unfortunately, the track cyclists have been awarded nil points, because Craig failed to complete his ten laps in the two minutes and twenty second time allocation.

There was better news for gymnasts Derek and Makosi who were awarded a marvellous 16 points for their exciting interpretation of "It's Raining Men."

Everything rested on the results for synchronised swimming and trampolining. Would Eugene's little accident prove decisive?

The synchronised swimmers were awarded 11 points for their elegant routine, but sadly the broken trampoline diminished the jumpers' score to a mere five points.

To make matters worse, Kemal's failure to sing the Scottish national anthem word for word robbed the team of further valuable points.

With just 27 points in total, Housemates have failed this week's Big Brother Games task and will have a minimal food budget this week.

Craig looked thunderstruck. "I'm pissed off," Craig moaned. "I'm competitive, I like to win," he said.

Cheer up Craig, it's only a game!

Weird task.
There never seemed any clearly defined 'goal' /marking scheme.

With yet another failure, housemates gonna be ever more moody, and icky to each other. Maybe its best BB should have let them 'win', regardless of the results.

This Friday's 'backward' eviction will surely freak out a few of them - although slimy Craig will doubtless be happy, and the tension in the house will be difficult to bear.

Cal: mission scrubbed. no launch today.

Cal, I can certainly forsee the same scenario will happen! The first freak-out would start with the decision in evicting one of the bottom two housemates. It will certainly create 'the drama of the year' - hopefully! ::lol:: ::lol::

And yes.. since the task had been performed reasonably ok, there's no reason to fail them. But as Dermot put it today (in his BBLB), BB is trying to get more evil with the housemates...

Anthony has visited the Diary Room for a spot of post game analysis with Big Brother. The sporty lad can't believe he and Craig got no points for such an easy task.

Sport-loving Anthony had been sure that he would get maximum points for today's Big Brother Games task, but he was sadly mistaken.

The failed cyclist blamed the whole debacle on a "school boy error in counting", which was a direct result "us being a bit dopey".

A mix up during the changeover caused Craig to complete only nine laps, but the team didn't realise the mistake thanks to Eugene's poor counting skills.

Anthony doesn't blame Eugene, well not entirely anyway. "We asked him to let us know how many laps," Anthony explained. "But I suppose if you want something done, do it yourself," he sighed.

He then accused Big Brother of being "a bit harsh" and left the Diary Room.

Oh dear.
