Great decision I think. Nothing against Graham Thorpe, he's a top player and keeping his average above 40 in tests during the 90's proves that because we weren't the best side in that time to put it lightly. However, Pietersen is an up and coming player who has taken international cricket by storm and we need players who are going to intimidate the Aussies and he's done that throughout the one days matches and deserves his chance.

Don't think I've ever looked forward to a test series as much in my life as this one!

should have been Robert Key. Fine form, proven track record at international level, and someone more interested in double centuries than his latest haircut.

Just glad Ian Bell got picked really, couldn't quite understand why he wasn't in the one-day side, because hes a useful bowler as well!!

I'm not sure on Pietersen, i'm a great admirer of Thorpe, so we'll have to see!!
