Detective Derek




Derek has told Big Brother that he will solve the puzzle and find out who the mole in the House really is.

However, he claimed that he's not nice enough to be a mole himself.

"I'm putting the puzzle together and working my way through to a conclusion," he said in an early-morning Diary Room visit. "These are bewildering times and it's left many Housemates confused."

"I'm reliably told by a Housemate that Orlaith thinks I am a mole," he smiled. "Well, moles are very nice animals and I don't think I'm nice enough to be one."

The softly-spoken Tory is master of the hunt when it comes to foxes and now he's got the scent of mole, with Orlaith the next point of call for Derek.

"I do not have high regard for her. I think she's mercurial and I shall be turning my attention to her in the next few days...or the next few hours.

"I think I know that somebody has been collaborating very closely with Big Brother for some while now. Are there eight genuine and real contestants in the House or maybe seven? Maybe even less."

He went on to say that he suspects that there is more foul play to come and added that he still has a few pieces of the puzzle to put together.

Blimey, some people like to pick up on the least thing. If he doesn't like people who don't speak the "proper" english language, then he would hate me.

Sink Or Swim



Derek had one of his customary swim and bitch sessions, as he and Kemal laid into Orlaith and set out plans to confront her. They believe she has come between Kemal and Makosi and it's time to sort it out.

"I think tonight we should say something," Derek whispered from the pool to Kemal who perched next to it.

Kemal asked Derek how he should approach Orlaith.

Derek told him to say, "Whatever you think of me, effectively you are coming between us and that's when I have a right to stand up against an intruder."


Their other gripe is that Orlaith has been talking about Housemates behind their backs, a tactic that they did not approve of, though were indulging in.

"The point I'm going to make is, in this House, we do not operate [like] this," said Kemal, apparently without irony.

"It's never happened like this, to this extent," agreed Derek.

"Behind people's backs like this!" fumed Kemal. "Especially coming between two friends, telling Makosi why I voted like that. It's out of order, all this behind people's back, malicious bitching and gossip and talking about stuff."

Kemal had become fully motivated for action now. "Me and Makosi are best friends. Listen to me. Girlfriend is nailed."

And Derek slinked back into the water...
