The House will be alive with the sound of music today as Big Brother challenges the group to communicate only by singing.

If the group warble successfully they will be rewarded with tennis equipment.

Strictly no muttering, whispering, mumbling or talking of any kind will be allowed whatever the situation. Blimey!

Whether they're hurling abuse or nattering in the Diary Room, all verbal gymnastics must be delivered in a melodic manner.

Unfortunately for Science rapping will not count. Only tuneful chatter will pass this task.

"What an absolutely, fantastic day!" sang Anthony on hearing the news.

So, will the Housemates' racket win them some racquets?

The boys have been enjoying an operatic row in the pool this afternoon.

Abiding to Big Brother's task rules of only communicating by singing, Science and Anthony tunefully heckled Craig.

The group will be rewarded with tennis equipment if they are successful, but Craig wasn't too thrilled. "I don't even like tennis," he crooned. "I hope there is something else."

The hairdresser's melodic moaning didn't impress Anthony. "Shut up, you big headed p****! I'm going to drown you!" bellowed the joking Geordie in a voice to rival Pavarotti.

Greatly enjoying the sound of his own voice, Anthony continued to sing abuse as Craig fought back. "Keep away from me you dirty little p****," he trilled.

Then Science added to the musical masterpiece with a chorus by intermittently singing, "Shame on you! Shame on you!"

Surely a performance at the Royal Opera House awaits?
