How can you switch off empathy??Please tell me!

you don't want to do that! if you lose empathy you'd be a sociopath.

Absolutely right! Anybody who has no capacity for empathy is surely damaged in some way and the egocentric behaviour, lack of empathy, constantly and constant wanting and needing to be the centre of attention is self-evident of this. I think that any empathy she has shown is simply an act. However nobody can keep up that act constantly and so the mask slips sometimes and when it does, that is when we see the real Makosi.

I often think that the longer a HM stays in the BB house the worse it is for them because they reveal even more of their unpleasant traits.

This is true of Makosi and Derek especially.

Having said that, it can also have no effect, Anthony is still pretty much the easy-going, vain, slighlty dull but pleasant lad he seemed in the early weeks.

And Science is still, well, just a noisy prat.

Makosi has her period now...one week early...hmmm....the pool romp was 3 weeks ago

What friggin div that woman is.
It said she went to the diary room 15 days ago saying that she might be pregnant. If she's just come on, and she's a week early, then why the hell did she claim she was "close to 100% sure" that she would be pregnant if she wasn't expecting her period for at least another 3 weeks?!

Bored to tears, Makosi retreated to the Diary Room to complain of her dull existence.

"I'm fed up with the monotonous culture," sighed the drama queen, feeling fed up with her snore-inducing Housemates.

In fact Makosi was even beginning to find her wardrobe mind-numbing. "I want new eye shadow, new clothes, I don't like my shoes..." she droned.

To relieve her fashion rut, Makosi suggested Big Brother bring her a new suitcase of glad rags. If not she might have to go to extremes. "I was this close to walking out naked today," she grumbled.

And that's not even mentioning the tedious food she's sick of. "Pasta, pasta, pasta, bloody pasta. Tuna, tuna, tuna, cheese, tuna," she repeated drearily.

Big Brother wondered if the nurse couldn't think of any activity to entertain herself. But after racking her brains Makosi confessed there was only one thing.

"The honest truth? I want to have sex," she grinned. "Protected this time around."

Can't you just play I Spy, Makosi?

yes, and as someone noted elsewhere....maybe 'that' in itself is a lie.

After those mighty boos last Friday - and we know Makosi was devastated by it, it is entirely plausible that she is now lying about not being pregnant. With all the lies she has said, it is now impossible to determine what is truth and what is a lie.

She has caused this level of mistrust in me, and shall not be receiving my vote to win.

She probably just wanted attention and a way of getting attention from the housemates is to say that she was pregnant. All she ever seems to do is talk behind peoples backs and to tell lies the whole time.
