If an option existed where you could vote for the prize money to go to charity, would you exercise that option? In other words, do you think a charity is more deserving of the money than a housemate?

(please don't discuss the relative merits of housemates OR charities on this thread, it's a simple poll only)

I don't think 70k/100k is that much money in terms of a high profile media competition like Big Brother so the winner deserves the prize. And lets face it, average footballers & dire pop stars earn vast sums.

Most Big Brother housemates do work for charity so there should be no guilt about winning the money.

It's a bit of a silly question really. What is a 'deserving' winner anyway? I mean I didn't want you to win BB4, but you got the most votes so I guess you 'deserved' the money. As to if it should go to charity, no the winner should get it, it's a competition. It's upto the winner what they do with the money, and I couldn't care less what they do with it...

Spend it on drugs, whores, computers, clothes, holidays, charities, investments. Who cares?!

imo - none of them this year have proved themself as someone I would look at and think 'oh well done you - you've kept me entertained, are a genuinely nice person and I don't begrudge you the cash'

more like: you are an example of why society (in general) is falling apart

....but as I said - only in my opinion

Interesting point felicity. It's funny because my Dad and I were discussing the relative merits of the housemates and who we would like to see evicted, and we differed enormously on who that was. I want to keep in the ones I like and Dad wants to keep in the ones he finds most entertaining, even if he thinks they're irritating. I thought that was a fair point, but on considering that point further, I decided it was ok to keep in those who are entertaining, but I would rather see someone I LIKE win the cash. When I suggested this option to my parents, Dad said he couldn't care less about the money and wants to be entertained, Mam said she would prefer to see someone she likes winning the prize. Funny old game, eh.

I've gone for the charity option, only Anthony would be an acceptable winner in my eyes
