Makosi and Kemal have been disgusting Science with the things they have eaten.

It started innocently enough with Makosi saying she liked chicken livers, kidney and cow tongue.

"Moloko, stop talking about these crazy things," said Science.

Then it started getting weird.

"I eat fish eyes. I love fish eyes," Makosi said. "I've tasted dog, I've tasted cat, I've eaten bird saliva soup."

"How do you get the dribble out of a bird? Uurrgh! Bird drool!" asked Science.

Kemal told Science that some dogs were specially bred for food. "They don't just come round and take your Alsatian."

Kemal too talked about eating sheep head, scoffing the cheeks and the brain. "It makes you cleverer," he reckoned.

Science thought the NSPCC would be after him. He asked Makosi if she had eaten monkey.

"No, I love monkeys," she said. She did admit to eating horse, mice and lion's liver.

"I am not eating at your house," said Science.

Makosi pondered what meal she'd cook should Science pay a visit. "I'd cook goat balls," she said.

"Nah, man. I'm not eating no balls," objected Science. "We're eating out."

No wonder Makosi hasn't been let loose in the kitchen.

If you have eaten a kabab from manky mikes kebabs, you probably have eaten all of the above without knowing

Does somebody actually call their shop 'Manky Mike's Kebabs'?

Never tried anything that Makosi mentioned, or a kebab.

don't blame him either I once ate horse in France and it was as tough as old boots - I couldn't eat it Lots of jokes about it being a winner, and a favourite etc from round the table - never again

I personally wouldn't want to eat cat or dog ..well not knowingly (couldn't eat rabbit either as had one as a pet) but I would imagine Africa culture is different from British so who are we to judge.

there lies the rub, I think lots of people are guilty of using their personal culture as a "correct/proper" benchmark for other countries

I would never eat:

dog
cat
frogs
horse

but I can't look badly on other countries that do, afterall it's perfectly normal for them

In this country muslim and Jews would never eat pork ...and Hindu's never eat cow (think that's right) ...it's what we have been brought up to find acceptable.

I was always brought up to be polite and and consider other even if sometimes I don't get my own way....others think they don't have to be like this and admire people that are selfish and rude. How IS Science this morning

As a for instance, imagine a hungry alien landed on Earth. Wouldn't it be more appealing to munch on a healthy-looking, glossy, beautiful animal like a horse than a mucky thing like a pig rolling around in goodness knows what? And what about a hen scratching around in a midden for its food? A clean, fluffy feline would be a more appetising option for many an alien, I should have thought.

not fair (I know you're joking), Science for whatever reasons (religious or otherwise) doesn't eat pork and from what I could gather HMs only wanted to get pork.

not much different in my eyes to Saskia getting her mayonaise, Makosi her cherryade, Orlaith her bran flakes, Maxwell some alcohol etc etc
