I do agree that the government or whoever, are too scared to do anything when it comes to certain things. But when it comes to other things, the PC brigade just go way too far. I.E christmas cards :roll:

You have to take it in context Hippo. In its day it was the most humane safe way of killing, as was the Jews method of killing. But as always happens with organised religions the method becomes a ritual, and over time it becomes ritual that must not be changed. Of course, times change and the most humane methods change due to technology which is why to others the method of killing may look wrong.

Matt Johnson of The The, came up with a great lyric of what afflicts all religions over time - "They've forgotten the message but worship the creed".

They are banning the words "christ" from the cards. This being that it's supposed to be offensive to Muslims and other religions, but people from other religions, have chirped up saying that they aren't offended by this, and that it should stay on the cards. It's traditional though isn't it, i can remember Christmas cards being around since i was born, at the right time of year though.
