Can I just ask if anybody has noticed how lots of people say 'paRse the parcel'?! Instead of saying 'pass' properly - I always make a point of saying the 'pass' because it irritates me

southerners say paRse

northerner say p-ass

would people honestly say 'would you paRse me that CD'? Strange, I've never heard anybody saying it like that before!

No, the people I speak to would always say it p-ass not parse but whenever pass the parcel is mentioned they tend to say it wrong. One of those silly things that I pick up on

I used to live 'down south' but was younger when I did so can't really remember properly how people spoke. I probably used to speak like that but can't remember.

Do you not say a 'th' sound at the end though? Like I wouldn't say the end of the word 'bath' like I'd say the end of the word 'graph'
