"****" - how about that? Really alan, you're an amateur at all this.
It's OK for me to call myself a poof, or for my friends to call me a poof but not strangers on a message board.
Blimey talk about discrimination.
To be referred to by a word by you or your mates is acceptable but if anyone else uses the same word in the same context it becomes offensive.
Surely it is discrimination that an act which you find acceptable by people you know is considered offensive by people you do not. It's strangerist
Double standards I'd say and the word in its correct context is a lot less offensive then the q word ***** which is even censored out here (see below) which most gay men seem to be happy to refer to themselves and their mates by.
Deviating from the expected or normal; strange: a ***** situation.
Odd or unconventional, as in behavior; eccentric. See Synonyms at strange.
Of a questionable nature or character; suspicious.
Slang. Fake; counterfeit.
Feeling slightly ill; queasy.
Offensive Slang. Homosexual.
