Wow I just saw this and boy it made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck - we were there and it was just a fabulous concert! So if any of you see it you can know that Milly was IN THE ROOOOM!!! ::lol:: It is class!

I drove my daughter mad with it last night as VH2 were playing it on a loop for about an hour!

Lovely song. I told her I was getting my own back for the back to back Green Day we have to have on all day every day.

Anyway, I told her that it's the song I would choose for my kids, if ever I was asked to dedicate one to them.
She didn't look too impressed or grateful. Moody teenager.

I've not had the pleasure of seeing the video yet but the song is absolutely magnificent. Fantastically written and sounds top class with Martin singing it. Possibly the best song they've done though it's close with The Scientist.

don't get Coldplay at all. I know it makes me sound like I'm in my 50's but they all sound the same? Same tempo every song, same amount of misery. Saw them at V in 2000, and they were crap then as well.

Look, you're an international pop star, trophy wife and all that, and you've got a bob or two in the bank as well. Be happy!

Coldplay are superb. Not really heard this new album too much but the other two are excellent and the three songs I've listened to in depth off the new album are as good as anything off the other two.

Are you lot kidding? They are amazing live - I love their songs. Each to their own I guess, but I love each of their albums - just superb.

Can take it just not in large doses.Yellow is a special song for me(reminds me of a fantastic summer) but I find theres such a surfeit of inoffensive music now that I've gone off them a bit.

pikeylass, you've hit the nail on the head. These last few years we have been forcefed music suitable only for VHBland. It's the Virgin 1215 generation.

Travis, Coldplay, Athlete, Keane, Sterephonics, and a thousand other soundalike bands. Go away. Stop making music to guarantee airplay. Being in a band is the best thing in the world. Performing gigs is about as good as it gets. But you'd think they were being forced against their will to perform these miserable ditties. If it makes you unhappy, then do something else with your life.

And if you are that unhappy, don't inflict it on me!

In fact (in full rant mode now). When Coldplay were kicking off about Crazy Frog, it has to be said that much as I despise that frog thing, Crazy Frog is a thousand times more culturally relevant than Coldplay will ever be.

I don't like the rest of them, just Coldplay, fantastically written songs. That said, as good as they are, there are too many bland bands around now like Travis, Keane, Athlete etc.

Radiohead are quality and Coldplay are even better but not too many more please.

Athletes first album was great..but the second one bland.
I'd agree there are too many coldplay soundalikes about but theres plenty of good stuff out there.Loads of great Canadian bands about like The Dears and The Stills
