I found a forum for aspergers/asd and the general consensus there is that eugene is an 'aspie' asthey call it. If he does have this disorder, possibly it's either not been diagnosed, or it's been kept quiet as he doesn't want a sympathy vote.

BTW Eugene is great and he has my vote - the only hm I've wanted to win apart from maxwell.

thanks for the link local_shop_girl I will have a look at that forum at some point. I agree GG that any Aspergers he may have would be mild. I hope if he wins it isn't because of that but because he genuinly seems a decent person and honest about who he is. Personally I like a man who isn't afraid to cry. except for Craig that is:D

I would have thought that the producers would not be allowed to put someone with Asperger's Syndrome in the house, seeing as it might affect their ability to socialise and therefore put them at an immedicate disadvantage.

Maybe its undiagnosed. and further more why shouldnt he be given every opportunity to have a go as much as anyone else even if he was diagnosed. ok so he's a bit quirky but still very likeable and has far better life skills than the majority of people in there .IMO In fact all of them.

Don't most people have their own 'idiosyncrasies' that could put them at a disadavantage when put under such scrutiny and pressure as in BB? For some HM's, it can be that once they've had one drink too many, they end up doing something they might regret, for example?

I don't know if it is true - but if it is he's done remarkably well under the circumstances. I t may explain his obssessive nature and aparent difficulties relating to other hms.

A serious question though - if it is true - is it right that the producers select him for such a show, given the problems he might encounter. I like Eugene - even more if this is true - he is a very honest and decent person, certainly compared to the selfish wannabes' in this series.
