Its true, women worry about their weight, men worry about their hair-loss and neither side seem to realise that 99% of the other side doesn't find it unnatractive. Women think they have to be stick thin but most men prefer curves. Men worry about going bald but in reality the only thing that is unnatractive about men who are losing their hair is if they whine on about it.
Molly: (other than her bf) there is nothing sexier than a bald (or shaved-head) man with a goatee!

i would disagree with the 99% bit

in my experiance there's a hell of a lot of shallow women out there who judge men by their looks and vice versa

I don't think you really diagree Hippo, maybe women do judge men by looks but why does that mean that bald men are less attractive? Maybe we are equally shallow but what is unnattractive about bald men? imo, nothing, it doesnt count. So 99% of women think bald is sexy, it's not noble or decent it's just personal opinon? I think anyway

My ex wasn't great-looking but I didn't care. I love him still for how he treated me. I made the first move on him as well. Sadly, even though he said he loved me I think he was only with me for my looks.

Not meaning to be shallow here (if that's how it seems), but i would only go for a woman if i was physically attracted to them. I don't beleive in all this "lets be friends first stuff", it's either love at first sight or nothing. I think that's the way it should be really, well, just in my opinion anyway.

I do agree with that to an extent.. I would have to find the person attractive in some way to feel that I wanted more from them - but if the person was amazingly good looking yet horrible inside I wouldn't be interested.. it is individual choice really - but for me there has to be a mixture of attraction and interest in that person for me to want them

Well yes I found something attractive about my ex when I met him and liked him before I really got to know him, but to only believe in love at first sight is a bit silly.

Ah, i'm glad you mentioned the horrible inside bit, this never crossed my mind. I was just telling my mother last night when there was a programme on about fox hunting, there's no way i could go with anyone who was involved with that sport. I guess your right then, they would also have to be sensitive inside as well. I completely forgot about that.I would still rather have love at first sight, rather than just be friends first, then this way, the passion would be very intense.

Well, maybe in your eye's. I'm not saying it couldn't happen the other way for me, just that the real passion would only happen if you saw someone for the first time and were attracted to them straight away. This is what i beleive. This is how my brother and his girlfriend (now wife) came about being together. Same with my sister as well, i guess we are a love at first sight family.

I actually wasn't attracted to my bf when we first met. but when we started talking his warmth, friendliness, wit and general 'nice-guy' nature just blew me away and I fell in love with him before I fell 'in lust' with him. For me that worked better, it's never happened before but I've never been happier with any man in my life and I can honestly say I've never loved any man as much as I love him now.

I fancy the pants off him now too! Phwwoooaargh!

Well, i'm glad you have found the man of your dreams Molly, i'll just wait for that love at first sight moment. If this happens great, but if not, well, i'm not really that bothered. The way i see it is this, it's better to have never loved and to have never been hurt, than to have loved and had your guts ripped out.

thanks zx, but it doesn't have to be at first sight for you I think. Maybe you even know her already? Who knows? If I saw my bf in a pic before I met him I wouldn't have gone on a date with him bcz I just wasn't attracted to him, (I think he's nice-looking but he wasn't my 'type', he had a moustache (most Indian men from his region do, and I've never liked them). But I thank God every day that he came into my life bcz he is my world, my soulmate, my other half and I love him more than I could ever ever say. I think he's handsome (so do a couple of my friends apparently) but I honestly wouldn't know if he is or not to most people bcz I've got 'love-goggles' on! I wouldn't ever underestimate the power of love to make you crazy with lust and desire for someone you wouldn't normally find attractive. These days I just look at him and think 'how come you are not married? How could any woman know him for even 5 minutes and not want to rip his clothes off and have his babies!!
