If Eugene hadn't taken the money i would have assumed he would go onto win BB, as then he would really BE the genuine hm that he is called..now I don't think he is.

No, I'd have said well done Eugen, he IS as moral as you all think he is. And I would still NOT have wanted him to win, and I would have posted 30 messages about how he would now be a racing CERT to win for being so moral and selfless.

I was 100% convinced he would decline. But when he said, "Will I be evicted if I take it?", I thought hang on, this w*nk is gonna grab it.

Now perhaps you can all appreciate why many of us don't like him. And I didn't want him to win and still don't, but there were many more who actually saw through the facade of the nice guy. I didn't.

Even his 'thank yous' now seem forced and affected. Much like Derek with his mannerisms, manners and aphorisms. FAKE.

Better to have Ant, at least his politeness and fellow-feeling come from his nature and not as with Eugene, from an indoctrinated sense of how to behave.

The money isn't 'the winner's' yet though, because there isn't one, it was BB's to do with as they wished. If they want to offer it to a HM, that's exactly what they can do, since it belongs to them.

When I saw Eugene go into the Diary room I was convinced he wouldn't take the money. It goes against everything he has done up till then.

I also think his query about whether taking the money would mean that he'd be evicted was more about him being afraid to go back to the others if he took it than that he was worried about being counted out of the whole prize.

He took the money - and probs the others would have done so too. But for him to do the false chest beating and crying about it is reprehensible.

I think that the real cheating here has yet again been by Big Brother. Just as they made the HMs do tasks last year to keep the prize money, they have now taken the prize money that we ALL assumed was reserved for the winner, and they have given it away to someone who may well now have ruined his chances of taking the prize.

Because of his previous *honourable* behaviour in the house, Eugene's actions seem much worse to some people than Kinga's would if she had gone to the diary room instead, and pocketed the cash.
