but without going crazy about it -in 60 seconds you decided he wouldn't take the money.Is that because you wouldn't have yourself because it was wrong or because you know him a little and based on that knowledge you thought that he thought he would decide it was wrong?

It didn't take me the 60 seconds. As soon as Eugene headed to the diary room I'd thought "I bet he won't take it" - as a split-second assumption (I know I always say you shouldn't assume and I guess that proves it). I didn't give it any in-depth thought after I'd assumed the outcome, whereas, in the situation I may well have acted in a more thoughtful way.

I don't think it was necessarily wrong that Eugene decided to opt for the cash.

I would have taken the money. At least then he's got the choice whether to give it back or not. if he doesn't take it he has no choice of whether to keep it or hand it over to the other person. If he has it in his pocession he can at least decide whether to keep it or give it back. If he really does have Aspergers we can't really predict how his mind works but even if he doesn't - we can't know how another persons makes their (to them) logical decisions.

Sorry to go off thread slightly but I've heard this before and it always makes me laugh - who! who would ring up a poll and say 'yes, I'd like to register my opinion - 'I don't know' If you don't know why ring up? Must be very lonely people...

Most of us would have taken the money.It's the LOGICAL decision..
If only we'd not thought it through....
However, on a game show we would be playing and part of that game would be to work out the BVPs take on the handling of the situation..Of course,the honourable thing is to be seen to sacrifice this gift selflessly adn look at the bigger picture i.e. The viewing public will be looking and will vote me to win if I seem to be a selfless caring individual.
Had Eugene taken this decision he would have been criticised similarly..i.e oh,he knew what he was doing...he was canvassing for votes...
Whatever he did he was onto a sticky wicket...
Lets not forget the reason HE went to the DR was because the others were too chicken thinking they'd be evicted if they went....

And as Molly says...he has it and now has the option what to do with it...
