The A-list life of a PR star
A HOT new MTV show is going to lift the lid on the sexy showbiz life of PR.
PoweR Girls follows five of the best, and hottest girls in the business at top US publicity firm Lizzie Grubman PR.
The success of the firm has shot Lizzie to fame – she opened the firm in 1996 and it is now one of the biggest names in the biz, with clients such as P. Diddy and Ja Rule.
There are four other PoweR Girls who work for her; Rachel, Millie, Ali, and Kelly who are followed by the cameras as they work hard and play hard amidst the sensational nightlife of Manhattan, Los Angeles, The Hamptons and Miami.
The show will reveal how life in the fast lane means coping with office relationships, a stressful work-load and the lack of a personal life.
"I’m looking forward to MTV viewers seeing the hard work and long hours it takes to run you own business," said Lizzie.
"It’s difficult, but it’s also a ton of fun and there is nothing I would rather do.
"I actually started my career as an intern at MTV, so life is coming full circle for me."
The first episode sees Rachel taking on her first launch, opening the brand new New York celebrity-haunt Ruby Falls.
In future episodes you get to see Lizzie organise the press and the guest list, managing to secure red carpet appearances from the likes of Ben McKenzie (The O.C) and Paris Hilton, and we discover how the tabloid-courting Lindsey Lohan manages to upset the girls.
