take a cold shower- and get a room! ;)

Ok, ok - I can take a hint!!!

Back on topic, then...

I'll be sitting watching Big Brother tonight and it will be a welcome diversion from the Loyalist bonfire and drunken celebrations for the end of the historic Siege of Derry. It's the noisiest night of the year where I live, and if it hadn't been for the end of BB, I'd have gone away for the weekend.

Oh, for heaven's sake, don't be ridiculous. 'Having a life' is SO over-rated, I find...

Oh I forgot it was the 12th. I made the mistake of once trying to go home on the 12th and had to take all these mad detours to get to my sisters. I even ended up in Newbuidings at one stage. What a fun place. Anyway hope it goes reasonably peacefully Vagabond.

I'll be on the computer watching C4 with a bottle of wine beside me. Husband is quite pleased it is nearly over. He asked me last night @Does this mean I get my wife back?'

Hehe, Ellie...

I live just round the corner from the *biggest bonfire in Derry*. There's a pub nearby too, and I get serenaded with *The Sash* played badly on accordians and flutes on the 11th night, hehe.

I am of the Protestant persuasion, but not of the loyalist mentality, and the flags and red/white/blue pavements do my head in at this time of the year.

It's been peaceful for the last 3 years since I've been here, though the police did have a bit of a stand off with the drunkards on my first year.

For the rest of the year it's a lovely place to live, though! hehe.

Tonight, I'll be glad yet again that my PC is in my bedroom at the back of the building, so I can shut out the world... and my tv is right above the computer, and gets Sky as well. So I'll be able to do my watching the fun, while checking out the net thing.

It's a hoot when you can see other people's reactions as the events unfold.

I'm promising myself that after BB is over, I'll find my life again for the last two weeks of my holidays!!

::lol:: ::lol::

When I took Gerbilmommy to Belfast last year, she wondered why some areas were decked out in the French national colours!

Pity that the marching season co-incides with the summer, when tourists are more likely to visit.

Actually, pity the marching season exists at all...

Too right, gerbilgranny.

I hate all the bad feeling it causes.

Oops... I'd better get back on topic again!!!

Erm.... What are you planning to eat/drink tonight while watching the final?

And does the gerbil get let out of his cage as a special treat?
