Not sure where Davina got the idea Anthony can start his TV presener career now - he can't even talk. Yes I know he's a Geordie and I love the accent, and yes it was a difficult time - but I can't remember him stringing more than two words together that didn't involve saying
.

Derek said he roughly calculated that Anthony's vocabularly is around 250 words.

Well that's about 50 more than Derek then.

You and Anna are definitely the best runners up....you don't get 6th for nothing ;)

I'm so annoyed that shallow muppet won tonight...To think that over all the h/ms, Anthony and Eugene ended up 1st and 2nd...what a joke

Anthony is 10 times the winner you would have been.

Don't be so mean! Ray would have been a fab winner. Mind you I am over the moon with glee that Anthony won . ::lol:: Happy days! ::lol::

I know you're very happy to see him win...so were most of the girls in barcode last night...That just says it all. It was more like a beauty contest than a talent contest :D

It was not! ::lol:: I think Anthony has a lovely personality and that's what I liked about him, plus he's a good laugh. How could you think I'd be so shallow as to only want him to win because he's good looking?  ::lol:: ::lol::

Do people REALLY think Anthony's good looking? He's pretty ordinary from where I'm sitting.

But are you sitting in the audience at Mr Universe 2005 Eva? :D

I'm straight, so I have no idea if he's good looking or not, he does nothing for me. But I can see why he thinks he's good-looking, and I think his mum and nan probably tell him he's gorgeous every few minutes. But every child is beautiful to their mother.

Ant does look to be 6-inches too small though... in HEIGHT I mean.

After all, as Drunkosi said, "It's huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge!" ;)

Yes he was one of the nicer hms this series - not that there was much competition in that department - and he won ddeservedly.

My probelm with the whole BB concept at times is that people take it to mean an automatic launch into a media career - talented or not. My problem with him is not his winning - just the assumption that 'cause he's been on TV there is a wonderful career waiting for him.

I don't think so, nor do i know anyone who voted for him 'cos he's fit'

It's just an excuse the people who are bitter that he won are using because they are too lazy to come up with anything that's actually true.

Did you not see the amount of people who texted in to the live text service on C4/E4 late at nights? There was an avalanche of 'Ant iz fit' texts every night without fail!!! If people text in to that so much, it makes sense they'd do so to vote as well.

I have no problem with BB contestants using it as a launch pad. Jon from BB4 has, Cameron too, and many more: Ray, Anna, Jade, Kate, etc.

I say good luck to them. They have as much right to try be on TV as anyone.

When I see what talentless pretty things present on T4 or Saturday TV, I think "why shouldn't BB contestants be pushy?" Pushiness is probably all that matters for a media career. That and a bland, narrow definition of appearing 'beautiful'.

Cat Deeley, Zoe Ball, Dermott O'Leary, Davina McCall, etc. are all pretty things who, for me, don't have much talent. I'd much rather everyone on TV, Radio, writing in newspapers and appearing in films had talent, but I don't think that's the case, and never has been. Many people like them. And there are many people working in these fields who are very talented. Maybe it's all just subjective.

There will always be lots of people (although for each of us the names will be different) in the media we think "How on earth did they get on?"

But I guess someone somewhere likes them. Either that or a lot of producers are lying back on casting couches with satisfied grins. ;)

Couldn't agree more, mos presenters are just prettyy-boys and girls, June Sarpong, whats that about

Kirsty Gallacher had the worst screen-test for SkySportNews then anyone ever apparently, and yet faliure after failure she gets new jobs! Fearne Cotton, TOTP has died on its arse since she took over, her performance at Live8 was pathetic!! So the BBC give her a top job on Radio1

Makes sense :-?

Yes, I thought that. I actually wondered if she had got him muddled with Eugene, because Eugene said he wanted to be a TV presenter, but I don't actually remember Ant saying it.

What is the difference between Ray & Anthony as housemates??

pretty similar if you ask me.

They both didn't get mixed up in bitching & tried to get along with people.

Fair point and good luck to them - my problem is when they make it so obvious that it is the reason for entering, it changes perceptions. The worst hms I can think of for doing this were Becki last year and orlaith this year - no intention of playing the game or getting the experience, just 'I want the publicity'.

Eugene would make a wonderful TV presenter - wonder if Tickle wants an apprentice on Brainiac.
