BIG Brother star Kinga Karolczak yesterday vowed to shed a few pounds - and her sleazy image - to launch a glittering new career as a pop star.

She declared: "From now on, I want to be known as Kinga the Singer - not Kinga the Minger.

The busty blonde has pledged to quit the booze and make the most of her voice as she attempts to put her wild, party girl reputation firmly behind her.

And she hopes to enlist the help of TV diet guru Dr Gillian McKeith in a determined effort to transform her fulsome figure.

Kinga, 20, also plans to keep her ample assets firmly under wraps so people will concentrate on her singing talents.

"I don't want to be remembered as the girl who got her boobs out on Big Brother and played about with a wine bottle," she said.

"All the stupid things I did in the house happened when I had been drinking."

Kinga, who has admitted snogging 20 women in one tipsy night and daylight skinny-dipping in a London park, said she hoped cutting out alcohol would curb her crazy antics.

She said: "I don't need drink to give me confidence - if anything it makes me too mischievous, so I've got to stop.

"It's not that I have an alcohol problem or anything. I just want to be taken more seriously.

"I was a bit annoyed with what Jade Goody said about me - she criticised me for taking my clothes off. But she was just as badly behaved when she was on the show.

"She's managed to turn her image around and I hope I can too."

The former market researcher - wearing an outfit from aptly-named fashion store New Look - has ditched her tight, low-cut tops for a more sophisticated style.

And she reveals she has been inspired to slim by Dr Gillian - whose diet features in the Mirror this week.

K INGA said: "I've already lost half a stone just eating carefully, since leaving the house - but I want to lose more.

"I was planning to go to Weight Watchers, but I'm worried that people will recognise me and give me hassle.

"I'd love to do You Are What You Eat with Dr Gillian.

"I think she's great and she'd teach me what I should be eating - no more junk food, drinking or smoking."

Yesterday, in the plush surroundings of the Sopwell House Hotel in Hertfordshire, Kinga showed off her musical skills on a grand piano.

And her day was made when she spotted England football captain David Beckham in the hotel's lobby.

He smiled at her as he headed off for a massage. Stunned Kinga did a quick double-take before she finally spluttered: "I can't believe it. He's so gorgeous and so famous.

"I just can't believe this is all happening to me - I'm so lucky."

Outside Kinga was mobbed by Big Brother fans. One teenager called Fran ran up and give her a hug, saying she was a "brilliant housemate" and wishing her the best of luck for the future.

Kinga said: "The public's reaction has been amazing. I can't go to the shops without people stopping me to ask what it was like inside the house and how I feel about the others. And I've already been invited to lots of film premieres and parties. It's so exciting."

But she was less than impressed that bookies Ladbrokes were offering odds of 4-7 for her to end up presenting a TV porn channel.

She insisted: "I'm going to rise above that. They'll soon see that is really not what I'm about at all."

However she was pleased to hear the same firm is taking bets on her having a No1 hit. And she is wasting no time in making the prediction come true - her first recording session is today.

She said: "It's what I've always wanted to do and hopefully now people have seen me it will be easier. My dream is to sing alongside my idols - Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera and Celine Dion."

Kinga, who finished fourth in the show, now plans to become even more famous after teaming up with Andy Lysandrou, one half of Truesteppers - the group behind Victoria Beckham's hit single Out Of Your Mind.

A NDY, who is now Kinga's manager, said: "We are going to try something along the lines of Toxic by Britney Spears, as well as a cool, credible club tune.

"Kinga is a talented songwriter, so we're definitely going to try something she's written herself."

Kinga has already worked on songs in the studio with Andy in the past two years and has studied sound engineering and music technology at college.

She said: "I've been aiming to be a singer since I started having lessons at 13.

"I was always up performing on holiday and when I was 14 I won a competition by singing Oh Happy Day with my school choir in the Albert Hall.

"I love the buzz of applause and can't wait to get started on writing and performing my own songs."

Meanwhile Kinga revealed the Big Brother reunion party shown on Sunday was fraught with tension following winner Anthony and Makosi's different versions of their steamy encounter in the pool.

She said: "I really enjoyed seeing everybody again, but the atmosphere was quite bad.

"Everybody stayed in the close-knit groups they had been in on the show and Makosi stayed away from most people.

She kept her head held up high and didn't really look at anybody else. She even turned up late. She has got so big-headed since leaving the house.

"But everyone knows she's told lies about things. I just feel so sorry for Anthony.

"At the reunion he seemed really upset by what that she had told the papers. It's all very sad, but I don't think those two will ever be friends again."

I fear that may be too late.

Thing is, I bet she does have a good powerful voice and could belt out some pretty good stuff. I like her speaking voice and think it could make a decent singing voice.

Just because Makosi and maybe someone else didn't like Kinga's singing, i don't think she should give up doing it just yet. After all, it's the big brother house, and they'll say anything just to manipulate people's minds. I would go to a record studio and try her voice out, and if they say she's got a good voice then fair enough, but if not, then she can always say she gave it a shot. I heard her singing, and i don't think it's half as bad as Makosi is claiming it is. I just say things like i see and hear them, and i think her voice is pretty good, not one of the best, but it's still pretty good. But then again, i think if a younger Charlotte Church had sung infront of Makosi, she would have still kicked up a fuss about her. Ah what the hell, i think Kinga should try with a recording studio and see if her voice is any good. The trouble now is though, will they take her on just because of her appearance on big brother, and then dump her after the novelty wears off.

:D I liked Kinga and think she should have been in there from day one she was far more entertaining than some of the others, her singing was ok too part of her personality makosi didnt like it because she couldnt stand anyone else in the limelight. So go on Kinga go for it. erm minus the wine bottle of course

Fair play to Kinga for taking steps to turn her image around. I think she has a gorgeous face, and it's not like she has stones and stones to lose before she would be acceptably slim. I hope she doesn't strive for the stick insect look, though, as I think she suits curves.

Good luck to her - I think she is serious about her singing/music, and if she can get a break I'd be happy for her. Lesley is deluded about her singing, but I think Kinga may not be.

I think it's a shame Kinga feels she needs to lose weight at all, she can't be more than a size 14. Just because she is short and curvy she gets called fat. Good for her for wanting to be healthy but let's hope she doesn't decide the stick look is the way to go.

Good luck to her! I reckon she deserves it. But im afraid its quite unlikey she will do anything more than one or two songs and an album :-? Just cos thats what normally happen with people tht have been on TV and go into the music buisness. But aybe she will break that..And shes deffiently got a strong voice.

Also, i think shes very pretty as she is.

GL Kinga ;)

I feel sorry for Kinga, as the BB producers made her go into the house wearing a bikini. You have to be really slim to suit one of those!

She's obviously been very hurt by the Kinga the Minger taunts, and by the time she was back in the house, she was constantly putting herself down about her weight.

I think she looks fine too, but if she's not happy being a bit overweight, then it might help her self-esteem to lose a bit. Just as long as she doesn't go too far with it.

Oh, deffiently. Im doing the same thing as her! lol. But i really dont think shes fat atall. Shes got a full figure obv but IMHO theres no way shes a minger. I thought from day one shes very pretty. Esp with her hair straight.

But yeah it was abit off to put her in a bikini. If i was in her position id be really upset and worried about wearing it. But i think shes prettier than Orlaigh. So its about opinions. In her interview with Davina she laughed off the minger thing but you couls tell it kinda hurt her :(

I support her all the way :)

She's MUCH prettier than Orlaith, I think. Orlaith is all about the figure and well applied make up. Kinga actually looks prettier without her make up. And not many people can say that! ::lol:: ::lol::

::lol:: Yep

I dont even think Orlaigh has that much of a nice body either..Its not the body id chose to have.

And what a self centerd, selfish, sly, boring, ungrateful, stuck up c** too! lol

Personality can make someone ugly  ;)

Kinga would have grated on me if I was an HM, she sang too often but I think with some singing tuition I'm sure she would have a very good voice. I did think she sang through her nose though.
