I have complained.... with a two page letter to Ch4.

Its not just that I feel Makosi was hard done by... but rather its the viewer's and the eventual winner's finale that was ruined by a baying mob.

The BB Final was for many a highlight of the year, like the FA Cup or Wimbledon. Some of us book the night off, stock up with Ben & Jerry's, Budweiser and get settled in to enjoy a spectacular. We've had 11 weeks or laughter, tears and sometimes watching our personal favourites fall... But on the final night, we want only to applaud those that have made it all the way (no matter how they made it) and celebrate the winner (no matter if its not our favourite).

I confess that most years I'll have a tear in my eye and a racing heart as the Final draws to a climax. Not this year.

Even as the previously evicted HM's names were called, almost half of them were booed before they even got on stage. I knew at that point this wasn't going to be an enjoyable show.... and it then got worse. By the time Anthony came out, I just couldn't careless.

So, it wasn't just Makosi's exit and interview what was ruined? It also impacted upon the other's and generally ruined the night for them and for us.

Whatever happened to those Final Nights of old... where everyone was greeted with cheers and a appreciative 'well done' for entertaining us over the weeks?

And for anyone who thinks I'm taking this a little too seriously? I ask you to remember those now cancelled music award shows that got ruined by a handful of people (mostly the stars in this case) who list a big insensitive gob as their number one talent. Even the Oscars are no longer truly live.

Ohhh yeah... I'm still angry I had 'my' night spoilt.

I was disappointed by Davina's lack of impartiality this year. Take Dermot. He is BOUND to have an opinion on the housemates, but never once did I see him show it through in his interviews.

Davina thinks that her star is soaring now and behaves accordingly.

She thinks she can dress in anything and get away with it. She can't.

She thinks that she deserves £100,000 per show. She doesn't.

She thinks that Big Brother won't be the same without her. It would.

Trust me - I was a HUGE fan of Davina up until this year for her down-to-earth persona and reachablility as a celeb. In previous years, she has treated every fan she meets with respect. When I met her this year, I was left cold. It was a no eye-contact affair and she assumed I wanted something autographed. I didn't. So much for success not changing people?!

As for the final night, I was left feeling distinctly untouched. I have cried (Nadia, Brian and Craig) been angry (Cameron - sorry mate) and chuckled (Kate) at previous winners, but this year - nothing. I could hardly care less.

Anthony seemed to change from the moment the doors opened - from lovely down-to-earth lad to celebrity wannabe in 30 seconds. Surely a record for any ex-housemate!?

Anyway - shame on Davina. Shame on Anthony. Shame on Endemol.

This 'Superfan' - Very disappointed

Complaining to channel 4 is VERY different to complaining to Ofcom...I have no objections to that.

I doubt Ofcom can (or will) do anything in this instance... maybe if the crowd had climbed up on stage or threw something I'm sure the local council would impose stricter conditions. But Ofcom will not usual involve themselves in the production or artistic qualities of the show unless a broadcasting rule had been broken.

Channel4 however is a different matter... They (and their advertisers) would want nothing less than a polished, popular and exciting piece of television. Its pretty clear from the fan sites, media and commentators that the BB6 finale wasn't the highlight it could have been. More worringly for Ch4 it's likely to make next year's finale even less popular.

I have to say this isn't all Davina's fault, although she could (should) have asked the crowd to quiten down... instead she helpfully informed Makosi that the crowd were booing (Huh?).

Lets hope in future the crowd (or those bad apples in it) learn to modify their reactions (which are false and manufactured anyway) or they'll find themselves being denied access to the evictees... because I guarantee that is exactly what is going to happen.

Do these people really think that 1 person, Davina, can stop several hundred fans from booing??? I'd like to know what effect people think saying 'please stop booing' would have.
As has been previously mentioned on this site, people get booed when they leave if they deserve it, Makosi deserved it, she got it.
It is not Davina's responsibility for all these people, it is Makosi's to display better behaviour then she wouldn't get booed.

qwertynels she managed to stop the booing when Derek came out. People who went there reported back that she said to the crowd it would be good to cheer him because he had lasted so long. That is the point I have tried to make on the forum. If she can do it for one she can do it for another it is just bias imo.

You'll be surprised what effect someone like Davina Mcoll could have had. I'm not guaranteeing that she would have calmed down the crowd, but i think it's very likely that they would have.

Well how do you know she didnt tell people they should cheer everyone on final night? Just because they choose to ignore her this time!

I find it ludicrous that people honestly expected the crowd to cheer for Makosi's answers when she was saying things they disagreed with....why the hell should they have done?

well said ()^ i completely agree. I was a HUGE Davina fan in bb1-4 but this year and last year (with Jasons interview) she really does seem to have lost her touch.
People keep saying big brother wouldn't be as good without Davina but how can we say that when we';ve never had another presenter hosting the show? From watching the difference between Dermot interviewing the housemates and DAvina interviewing the same housemates i really think Dermot does a much better job and although he obviously has favourite he still treats each housemate with equal respect and admiration.

The answers simple next time, get some decent housemates in the house that every one likes to a point, then you won't get boo's, or as many. They were all a useless shower anyway, so I think it's a bit much to blame Davina for crap contestants. She was just thinking what most of us were thinking about this lot, so she was spot on as far as I'm concerned. Shame Anthony won it though, because he was a wanabee from start to finish anyway. The only thing I'm missing about it, is not being able to moan about how crap it was on here ()^ Except for now of course :)
