::lol:: I have to admit that my parents has saved most of my brothers paintings (he was about 10 years old back then and learning with a local artist painting techniques) and they actually still have certain painting in a one room of their house on the wall - a crow (black and grey one). ::lol:: Not a cow. That cow and crow are from Sweden, characters of childrens stories. They might have translated few books also in English. ;)

Crows are great, I had to be a crow in a show once and it was quite funny ::lol::

Yeah, lots of houses with children have their pictures on the walls for memories I suppose. We still have some of our pictures from primary school up!

In this week's column there is a bit about the preview concerts at HMT on Friday and Saturday this week, apparently all the performers were very good and the theatre is looking grand. There is a bit about Open Doors in Aberdeen next week and Cameron being disappointed because he can't be there. Being impressed by a new recycling scheme in Aberdeen. One of the people that did the BB voice for the diary room calling him and him getting a strange feeling because he knew the voice but couldn't place it. Being busy this week and flying between Scotland and England and getting a chance to meet up for a chat with his friend from BB Steph. Getting a shock when a traffic warden came up to him at Aberdeen Airport while waiting for a friend but it turns out it was part of a new system where the traffic warden can tell you how long you're going to have to wait when you tell them which flight the person you're waiting for is on and the man told him 20 minutes and when he came back there was his friend standing there :D

Thanks Jezi. ()^ This is the full column:-

Quote:
Man, what a weekend! Those two nights of compering Light the Lights at the refurbished His Majesty's Theatre will remain with me for the rest of my life.

The performers from local musical groups were absolutely brilliant.

And the theatre is a dream. I had no idea there is now a wonderful roof terrace off the corporate suite.

Standing there on a lovely sunny evening you get a superb view of Union Terrace Gardens, Union Terrace and further out across Aberdeen.

That's class.

I can't wait for the gala re-opening next Thursday by Prince Edward.

My one regret is that I've had to turn down an invitation to be at the Open Doors event at the Tivoli next weekend.

A place the size of Aberdeen is so lucky to have two theatres designed by the great architect Frank Matcham.

However, while His Majesty's has just undergone its second major refurbishment, sadly the Tivoli is falling into greater disrepair every day.

I am convinced there is a place for them both. I'm sure it would be a happy day for Aberdonians if the Tivoli could get the same wonderful make-over as HMT.

My friendly traffic warden shock

I was picking up a friend from Aberdeen Airport last week and discovered something I'm ecstatic about!

I was driving into the bit at the front for dropping off and picking up. I spotted a traffic warden coming towards me and thought: Uh-uh. To my surprise, he came over to me and asked which flight I was meeting people from.

That's never happened to me before.

I told him I wanted the Dublin flight.

The warden went to check whether it was on time and came back to say it was approaching Aberdeen.

He told me to give it about 20 minutes then come back round, rather than having to shuttle back and forth for ages.

I did what he said and there was my friend. If it's a new system, it's brilliant and other cities should follow suit.

Green scheme is great

I spotted another great new scheme in Aberdeen on Friday.

I was walking through Hilton from Woodside to the BBC when I saw all these neat rows of black and white boxes and bags with all the household waste neatly packed according to what it was made of.

I really am impressed. I believe it's all to do with the Waste Aware Grampian scheme.

Full marks to the city council for providing these containers.

And full marks to the residents who appear to be diligently doing their green, recycling duty.

No hiding place from Big Brother

How's this for weird?

The other evening I was at home when the phone rang. Now I'm pretty tuned in to recognising voices. They trigger memories in me, just like music does.

This soft woman's voice said: "Hello, Cameron."

I suddenly got the strangest feeling. I knew I knew the voice, but couldn't place it. I knew it had meant something important to me once.

And guess who it turned out to be? One of the Diary Room voices from my Big Brother series. We had names for them all and this was "Sexy" on the line.

Turns out she's producing a new TV series and wanted to talk to me about it.

We're just good friends

Have had a really hectic time this week, literally fleeing about between Scotland and England.

On a flying visit to Birmingham I'm managing to catch up with my Big Brother housemate, Steph.

You may remember there was all sorts of speculation about romance.

Stop the rumour machine now. We're just mates and we're meeting to catch up with each other's news.

Oh thanks Christine, never thought to look on the EE website earlier on when I was looking for other things! Glad they put up the whole column this week because my summary was rather dire ::lol::

There is no need for my stupid rambling summary this week as the full column is already on the website - it's a miracle!

So click HERE for stuff about banks, wee bit about school children and what they eat (in honesty though with our 'youth' group they once had Irn Bru on a Burns night theme thing for something Scottish... some of them went SO hyper so I think it can have an effect), 'curvy' women and the royal gala at HMT!

Vimto is strange actually, only had it once or twice but it did taste weird.

ahh the days of primary school lunches in the corridor. I used to take water or squash juice in my batman flask...

Amaunet, we've already arranged this! You're taking some of my height!

I don't even know the reason behind the batman, I never even liked Batman! Just the flask...! The saddest thing is I still drink out of it to this very day

Shst, youre spoiling my law suit! I think some of your height would be brilliant; I was out in Edinburgh and I could barely be seen over the bar! It came to bust-level! Oh, Camerons Column! Good.

Vimto is a strange drink. Japser Carrot once described it as fizzy benylin which I thought was very accurate. :D
