by Carlos Ruiz Zahon.....

what an amazing book! First time in ages I've read a book where I had absolutely no idea what was going to happen next - the plot, themes running through it and characters were all easily identifiable with, but the merry dance they led you to the conclusion was just brilliant...

highly recommended :D

here are my two fav quotes:

'the moment you have to stop and think about whether you love someone, you've already stopped loving that person forever'

'a stranger sees us the way we are - not as they wish us to be'

I'vre read this Felicity and it took me a while to get in to. I thought it was very like Gabriel Garcia Marquez's books. (who is my favourite author) I enjoyed it and thought it very well written.

Oh he is fantastic. His books are translations also and I do think it probably loses something in the interpretation but they are written so beautifully. The language is like poetry. My favourite is 'Love in the Time of Cholera'

I have recently bought this but at the moment it is in a queue of books I have stacked up by my bed. :D Looking forward to it though. This week I have read four books as it's half term :)

I've just finished this. Like ellie I found it hard to get into and sometimes difficult to keep track of who was who (I think because of the Spanish names that weren't sticking in my mind like an English one would). however it was a good read with some interesting twists.

yes *nodding*....I was glad of the bit at the front that reminded you who was who as I kept having to refer to it
